Some people on this place are going to need severe counselling when they do get taken over, particularly if Donald is still here.

This thread needs burning. We’re in L1 with an owner who has about 50p in his pocket and they’re on the verge of a takeover by some of the richest people in the world.

Aye, a brilliant time to laugh at them.
It won't go through.

Caulkin just teeetrd saying he’s fed up with it. It’s become a conflict between 2 middle eastern countries rather than football. The premier league are just sitting on it and don’t know the best way to proceed it appears. They don’t want to upset either and now the Saudis have banned Bein it’s caused further problems. Problem for the mags is the longer it goes on they are left in limbo. Would Ashley say keep your £17m and fk it off. Would Staveley withdraw the offer? Bit of a mess. The transfer window opens in a week or so.

But did he write it in some poetry fashion? Mentioning old blokes saving their money from the pit, and mentioning players like Milburn and that?

It looks like to me that the premier League have told the sauidis to prove that they have stopped the illegal streaming of the games before they approve the takeover
Otherwise why the delay?

Rory Smith the journo has just called Leeds the "Barcelona of the North"
Awkward.

The club have announced a extension of the Fun88 sponsorship for "a number of years to come"

Doesn't sound like good news for the take over to me. (from a NUFC fans perspective obviously)

strange that. Long term as well. Wasn’t the situation that they were continuing as if it wasn’t going to happen even though it still might. The only thing I can see here is that why would a potential new owner agree to a new long term sponsorship unless there’s a clause it can be changed if the ownership changes.
