Tantobie are playing, we've been given a free week! First league match is away to Langley Park on 25th July.

Things could be an awful lot worse. Interesting article in the Guardian about local cricket in London boroughs being at the behest of councils who are agonisingly slow at doings things

Shotley aren't fielding any senior teams this season a decision taken by the club I hear leaving a good few not very happy players, one or two have signed for other clubs for this season just to get a game. They have u13s and u11s playing this season that's all!

Have the Academy put a side together to take the place of Shotley?

Phili 1st team have the pleasure of a friendly at South North on Saturday, one thing for sure it will be a good 40 overs fielding and bowling practise

First game in a long time tomorrow (apart from the odd game where i just fielded to help out) used to be a good player at juniors got most wickets in the Durham coast league u13 and u15 but the yips destroyed my game and dripped out at 17 been bowling well in the nets and took 3 wickets in a practise game last week but still quite nervous as last time I bowled in a competitive game bowled 5 balls and got hit for 3 sixes and had to be took off for bowling 2 head high no balls but I guess the only way is up from there!

Sounds carbon copy of my cricketing life but the yips came with the bat. Think that's why I fell out of love with the game, but really enjoyed the few nets back and just generally taking the game a whole lot less seriously.

Not local to you lot, but currently sat in Havant Park watching a big local Derby, Havant v Portsmouth & Southsea. Weather glorious sunshine and P&S currently 60/0 off 13. About 150+ spectators I'd say.

Sat under a brolly at Hull zingari . Light drizzle no one wants to come off. Quite pleasant actually watching with the patter on the brolly and a pint.

P&S 229/6 off 40 overs. Havant 22/0 off 3 in reply. Nee bar here although there's a Spoons about 200 yards away.

Good effort from P&S cos they play 2 divisions below Havant
