Why doesn’t the statement just tell you what he’s actually done to clear up any speculation.

Not necessarily in terms of how much he’s used, Root gets accused of over bowling him after all, more mean personality wise. I wonder how well he’s integrated and how much the rest of the team have taken to him coming in and becoming the new great hope of English fast bowling. Some pretty big egos in that department as we know. As I say just a hunch I have and might be wrong. Not trusted? He bowls as many overs as anyone since he's been in the side and was our best bowler in the last innings. Old Trafford is a good ground for a speed merchant, regardless of his last performance there. I expect Anderson was always going to miss one of the three tests, he'll get a home game in the next one. But he'd love to be bowling with the conditions on offer today.
Regardless of why he left the bubble he has to be excluded until they know he can't infect anyone in the bubble. I'm not saying people shouldn't criticise him, I'm just saying I'd like to know the circumstances before I do.The circumstances are bad enough to exclude and get an apology from him. The lads clearly been a fool.
It's actually been really dry in Manchester until the last couple of weeks, no idea what the wicket will be like in general. You know the Windies will win the toss today and we'll be rolledNot necessarily in terms of how much he’s used, Root gets accused of over bowling him after all, more mean personality wise. I’d be very surprised if it’s a fast bouncy wicket with all the weather we’ve had the last two months, agree think the conditions would suit Jimmy and should suit the three or four likely to be picked. Hopefully we win toss bowl & roll them.
I know where you’re coming from. For me it came across a bit more like immaturity, the twitter shit with Tino Best would come in that category, and maybe even a bit shyness or awkwardness. A bit arrogance is not a bad thing for an elite sportsman but as said above he needs to grow upFWIW after the world cup win I seem Archer get interviewed on I think GMB and Jonathan Ross and thought he came across as a arrogant bellend. Seen nowt from him since from him to suggest I was wrong either.
Daft. Might be way out here but I’m going to say it’s a good thing. He’s unreliable at this stage and I have doubts about much he’s trusted in that group, particularly by the captain. Just a hunch. His performance in the Ashes Test last summer at the same ground cost us that game and the series imo so no great loss. Broad, Woakes and Curran and we win. Shame Anderson misses out.
It’s pissed down here in Liverpool for what feels like foreverRegardless of why he left the bubble he has to be excluded until they know he can't infect anyone in the bubble. I'm not saying people shouldn't criticise him, I'm just saying I'd like to know the circumstances before I do.

It’s ideal for English conditions though. Stokes can bang it in if required but I’m not sure it’ll be that sort of pitch. Left arm variation and hopefully Broad and Woakes if selected are fired up.That bowling attack is so one paced mind. Shame wood can’t play now
Got a feeling it's a Kyle Walker situation.Regardless of why he left the bubble he has to be excluded until they know he can't infect anyone in the bubble. I'm not saying people shouldn't criticise him, I'm just saying I'd like to know the circumstances before I do.

If we win the 2nd test , then he doesn't get back in the team for me. ArseholeCompletely different attack to the last game then.
Archer will miss the final game for disciplinary reasons you may have thought as well
No. All travelled in separate cars apparentlyYou must be logged on to see media items
Surely they all travelled by coach![]()
If the weather is as damp and cloudy as the forecasts suggest then an attack of Broad, Woakes and Curran could be very threateningDaft from Archer. Old Trafford is usually a quicker pitch than Southampton so to be without both he and Wood now could be an issue.
The selectors got it wrong for the first test and Archer has potentially put England on the back foot for this one.
Well that’s stupidity from the ECB thenIf we win the 2nd test , then he doesn't get back in the team for me. Arsehole

Probably stopped off at a service station for a Maccy D's, it's what all the top pros do.Well that’s stupidity from the ECB then
I get the feeling we will always be talking about Jofra Archer, in the same way we were always talking about Kevin Pietersen.I know where you’re coming from. Whilst you'd think you could trust professional sportsmen to drive from Southampton to Manchester without going astray I find it odd that they didn't try to maintain the bubble on a coach which would prevent the players from needing to stop off at services (I appreciate the driver would have had a statutory break).
