On what basis? We were not good enough in my huumble opinion, however Wycombe should not have been anywhere near the play offs. Hoof ball wins in this division. We need a manager who endorses hoofball,,,,oh hold on

Commiserations mate. What are you expecting to happen next season now? Hang on to your better players, supplemented with further recruitment and a title push or selling the likes of Dickie, Brannagan and losing your loanees and falling away to mid table? Or something in between? On what basis?
Me too. Wycombe would have tonked us next season. Not that Oxford United will be much easier. If we get 2 points from them we will have done ok.
Won 3 lost 3 in their last 6 before lockdown. Hardlys a hopeless state.
Taking us out of the equation and not commenting on our position, form, manager etc, points per game was a ridiculous decision and Wycombe going up is absolutely farcical. They were in complete free fall and were never going to finish top 6. They've been given an opportunity they utterly did not deserve. If last season had finished at the same point and ended on PPG we'd have gone up automatically, we ended up 5th. If that doesnt prove that PPG is a completely useless indicator of how a season will finish then I dont know what is. Still they took their chance regardless of whether or not they deserved it in the first place and should be congratulated for their performances over the three games.

They had coventry away next game which they'd most likely have lost. I dont think they'd have been anywhere nearI think Wycombe would have made playoffs personally and I'm 99% sure we wouldn't have, but it's ifs and buts.
The PPG thing is scandalous. As proved in the championship , over the first few weeks of the championship return, under PPG the relegated 3 sides changed about 10 times. It was a pure lottery
They were getting absolutely battered off the teams around them. We put 4 past them as did Peterborough, they only got those wins against the bottom three. They were plummeting when you consider where they were.5th in the form table over the last 5 games too. If anything their form had improved and they were performing better just before lockdown.
They’ve also gone and beat Fleetwood over two legs and Oxford in a final.
Absolutely ‘hopeless’ apparently. But you’re not allowed to use facts and figures as they don’t fit the agenda on here. Better to go off ‘hunches’ and ‘chance’.
See the post above - hardly ‘free fall’![]()
They weren't in complete free fall no matter how many times people say it.Taking us out of the equation and not commenting on our position, form, manager etc, points per game was a ridiculous decision and Wycombe going up is absolutely farcical. On the basis of voting to end the season. On what basis?
2nd to 8th in the space of a few months with coventry away next game, their form picked up because they had the likes of tranmere, bolton in the 5 games before lock down. They were conceding left right and centreThey weren't in complete free fall no matter how many times people say it.
2nd to 8th doesn't tell the whole story as you well know.2nd to 8th in the space of a few months with coventry away next game, their form picked up because they had the likes of tranmere, bolton in the 5 games before lock down. They were conceding left right and centre

It was close of course but they had built a decent lead pre-december if i recall, it only got so close when they collapsed. Just had a look and they lost 8 of their last 15 games from december onwards, effectively lost (and comfortably) against any team they played in the top half while their wins came against the likes of Rochdale, Tranmere and Bolton.2nd to 8th doesn't tell the whole story as you well know.![]()
They were getting battered by teams around them when the actual season was being played, I've already said they've done great post-break and deserve credit for those three games. Conceded 4 to Coventry (who they had away next game), us and Peterborough, 3 to Doncaster. It was closer against Portsmouth, Oxford and Fleetwood but they still lost them all. Their form last 5 games picked up because they had games against teams in the bottom 5, Bristol Rovers at home, Tranmere at home and Bolton away. They still got bettered by Doncaster the week before lockdown. Take us out of the equation, there was no way Wycombe were going to finish top 6Absolutely battered but they just beat Fleetwood over 2 legs and Oxford...
Doesn’t make sense whatsoever. They were in better form in the last 5 games. Plummeting, despite all of facts pointing to the opposite.
They still had poor teams to play as well.
