Face coverings in England.

That article is quite damning about mask wearing. I'd be interested in knowing why they've changed their minds. Maybe it's just a balance of probability. I like knowing things and the reasons.
I agree with you that I’d like to know what the new evidence is.

However in the meantime I’m going to trust what the WHO recommends.

Maybe those points In the article you linked haven’t been negated but they think the positives to mask wearing outweigh the risks, who knows.

I can go to the pub and have a pint and food wearing no mask yet I have to wear a mask to buy milk in Asda. I don't understand that logic to be honest.
It is stupid but at least there will be some mask-wearing now instead of none. If it truly helps stop the spread then this is a good thing surely.

I'd say yes to points 1 and 3 above.
For point 2 I dont know about trust. But I'll listen and question.

Yes, ideally immediate action would be best but it isn't practical. I really don't understand what you're not getting about that. Presumably you have face masks or some covering ready to go to but not everyone will. You'd also massively hamstring businesses and leave their staff open to police action because they too might not be able to get masks or face coverings on such short notice.

You're socially distanced in the pub with table service. In ASDA going for milk people are walking all over the place.

There's a considerable difference in those two environments and again, I'm completely baffled you aren't understanding this.

Theres ques to get in places so they don't get overcrowded. It's not hard at all to avoid people in shops.

You don't have to stand up someones arse while you do your shopping.

A piece of cloth is not going to stop the virus, if it does then every scientist should be sacked immediately because we just fucked the economy for no reason.

You clearly haven’t been to a supermarket recently then. They’re busy, people aren’t socially distancing effectively.

Nobody is saying masks are the silver bullet to prevent the transmission of COVID, they’re simply one of many actions we need to take.

Dear me, spent your whole night, going on about face masks, you sound like your programmed by the govt, are they paying you for your nights work???

Think i will just don a big strip of gaffer tape over my mouth and nasal breathe and wear a Buteyko Sweat Shirt. Cant see a problem as the science far exceeds a face mask.

You must still be under the belief I am interested in your opinion. My apologies for the misunderstanding.
There is no misunderstanding at all, I have already answered you that one. I'm just following this thread, and 1 in 3 posts are yours, and everything you post is what they are trying to programme people to be like. So although I know you have no interest in my opinion or anyone else who slightly disagrees with you, I'll still keep posting.

I was laughing at the duct tape part, I haven’t seen evidence on nasal breathing, either for or against. Does it work? Is there research comparing to face masks, especially since we wear masks to prevent giving it to others, not getting it ourselves.

Good for you I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

This video shows how it stops the wearer spreading it. With this virus, people can spread it without knowing they have it which is a big risk to vulnerable people.

Well why are scientists not convinced about the benefits 🤔.. one of their big concerns is that gives people a false sense of security and encourages other behaviours that increase potential transmissions.

I personally think they are fairly pointless but will happily comply. Went on Metro last week. Couldnt be arsed to drive and it was no big deal. I couldn't even be arsed to have a word with people not wearing masks.
Metro was nearly empty. This cannot go on indefinitely. Economy will be in the toilet.

given the cases and death rates are incredibly low at the moment in the region. We must be doing something right
66,000 dead ye whoppa
•partly imo down to the selfishness and stupidity of the entitled British public. •Partly down to the woeful handling of this crisis by the british government.

Anyway. Run along and get ye mask sourced theres a good lad.
