Fact is there's a lot let cost involved in 3 games as opposed to 10 or so. It would have dragged the season on longer making a longer period of uncertainty for clubs to try and refinance themselves. We are at a lower league level where there isn't much money and teams a much smaller. We had 20mill in PP in comparison. It's our own fault for blowing our own financial and status advantage 2 seasons in a row. I can't remember us ever being 1st. Just an excuse to use to cover systemic failure over the last 2 years

That's not the issue though. It should never have been allowed to happen.
You can't not play games and through some method involving tea leaves in cups, end up jumping two places and into the play-offs. Particularly when your Chairman was consistently claiming it wasn't safe nor financially viable to play behind closed doors.
