Saw what some lad posted on the interweb about his trip from NCL to Benidorm. Sounded terrible tbh and put me off planning owt last minute in August. With the fuck up Trump has made in the US will probably swerve Boston in October anarl.
To Alicante not Benidorm. Alicante is one of Spain's most important cities. Anyway, what did he say? I've got to do that flight back to Newcastle on the 29th of this month. Sorry for being pedantic, and yes I know he will have been travelling to Benidorm.

We went to Alicante in January for £32 each . £100 each coming back like.

Who did you book through?

And why was it £64 for you both going but £200 for you both going back?

And why when I go on Skyscanner to look for flights to Alicante the prices vary from month to month and from day to day? In December it is £32 but in January it goes up to £55. But not all days in December are £32. Some days like say the 1st you can fly to Alicante for £110 but the next day go to £32. But two weeks later to the day you can fly there for £24. Yet on the 7th of January you can fly there for just £18. Despite January being more expensive than December.

Supply & demand

If there's only a couple of places left on plane then they may sell them off on the cheap to fill it up.

Also when booking holidays it's cheaper to fly mid week than weekend.

WE just go to the Jet 2 site and then choose the cheapest dates . I think the trick is to avoid popular holiday times .

Right now should have been week 3 of our trip back to Europe. Skopelos and Skiathos then onto Cyprus next week. Gutted. Instead I spent the last 2 weeks painting the outside of our holiday house.
Loved skiathos n skopelos , will go back sometime

What times would you say are the popular holiday times?
School holiday times are a real rip-off . Avoid weekends if you can . Probably doesn't help you but my daughter and her lot have to fly during the school holidays so they fly from Glasgow instead of noocarsel . I t saves them £100 each even taking in petrol, a night in an hotel and meals etc.. The hotel gives free parking which is another huge saving .

Another thing to look out for is that Newcastle Airport can be a bit more expensive to fly from.

Last couple of holidays we've saved about £100 flying from Leeds/Bradford

Obviously have to trade that off with convenience & parking costs, as with Newcastle depending on flight times could get metro or get lift from parents etc to avoid paying for parking.

Sounds brilliant but I like to be near a boozer if I'm in Britain . Somewhere to shelter from the weather .

When were you going ?
10th August, to Poland. I checked Easyjet, we can get flights on the same dates for £300 less
Maybe theres not enough on the plane for it to be financially viable to fly?

Possibly aye, fuck it anyway, nowt we can do about it.

They're cutting almost 400 jobs including a fair few pilots, cutting flights as a result so probably because of that, me Mam and Dad's was cancelled in August with them as well.
