Wafa = Genius
Elephant man does better = Championship Manager.

If He was called Stepanio Bruciola and was from Spain theyd love him. Dont take this trusted Fatty bollocks. They hate Bruce cos he's not a big name who's won stuff at other Clubs. That's what it boils down too. Bruce could win the league and theyd still say he doesnt fit their Europan Super Club image.

Massively self entitled and delusional.

Ashley's done a magnificent job and saved them

Pre-Shearer you certainly had the Leicester City boom following promotion. Cole being the 'Vardy', followed by Ferdinand (correct me if I am wrong). Leicester had that season where you were close to the league title but obviously won it. You've always had that one player that's carried a good team in terms of goals. Cole left for Man U and Ferdinand to Spurs. Shearer would have had numerous opportunites to leave and even carried Newcastle through the Ashley years. You can't disagree when he retired things got worse.
Think there were more things at play than just Shearer retiring.

 f***ing hell.

I think if Wafa had relegated Sunderland I would have wanted him out tbh. Mike did a great job trying to make him stay but he had his Visa months before he left for the lolly so what you gonna do?

Must have been devastating watching your rivals relegate you with the Fat chancer in charge. Yes I think I would have wanted him gone and an experienced Manager who supports the club put in after that tbh.

To have a club established in the Premiership, with a world class player in the team in Maxi, a great goalie and local lads in the team and spend about £70M on new players and £40M on a Brazilian striker. Ashley man. What a bastard.

Imminent IIRC

'But Rafa had a better goal difference man'. From the same mentality as they had more shots and corners despite us winning 3-0 at the sol.

Agree but i think it would have been much worse without him.
In the previous seasons? Yeah, probably, even in the twilight of his career he was still a class player. No doubt in my mind that Shepherd and Hall signed Owen as a replacement for Shearer but got it horribly wrong. But I guess you take the best striker away from any middling club and they'll struggle without a replacement.

Fair enough mate, like I say I would probs be disagreeing with you on most things but football is all about opinions.

I’m down in Hartlepool these days and mainly see chelsea, man Utd and Liverpool shirts to be fair sadly.
Canny few Poolies go on our bus to away games.

Shepherd and Hall had put the club in a position that it needed a cash injection, over and above what they were able to do, Big Mike appeared on the horizon and they were off like a shot, having taken tens of millions out of the club, between them.

Ashley paid off the interest bearing loans, replacing them with interest free ones from him.

Had someone not came along with similar finacial clout to Ashley, administration was dangerously close.

They are all facts, rather than just your "opinion".
Absolute shite, it was all Hall. Shepherd was in hospital at the time and knew nothing until the deal was done

It's not shite its fact. Ashley saved you from administration. And has spent millions and given you one of your own as Manager.Ashley has done a fantastic job. You should build a statue to him.

Oh and new member, from Throckley.

Welcome aboard. Now fuck off you Mag Tramp

Tremendous post this young man.
Not going to go down well with our resident equine abusers

He knew plenty about the level of debt marra, it was accrued on his watch. Shepherd and Hall were reckless and it was Ashley who saved NUFC. No doubt about it.

You were on the verge of not being able to pay your way as a club under shepherd and hall. They took tens of millions out of the club.

Absolute facts.
How do you know what he thinks?
Exactly.

It's bad enough with the Donald and Charlie show at the moment. FPP could have been fantastic taking us over. However if they had a history tainted by beheadings and human rights violations, I'd have wanted them nowhere near our club.

Shepherd was charging the club for the use of a couple of his buildings for years. Buildings they'd never been near iirc
