No, but you said 'if we become the best team in the league'. Unlikely, but if that happened, it wouldn't be a surprise, would it?If...
You think that's going to happen like mate?

sess for me marra
Makes me laugh like the likes of sess and steed get lauded on here yet they aren't fit to lace the likes of Ginola, Robert, Saint maximin, Cabaye and Ben Arfas boots.
They probably get 'lauded' on here because it's a SUNDERLAND forum! Christ what exactly are you looking for on here? Sunderland fans saying how brilliant Mag players are compared to ours??Makes me laugh like the likes of sess and steed get lauded on here yet they aren't fit to lace the likes of Ginola, Robert, Saint maximin, Cabaye and Ben Arfas boots.
Aye he's a true titan of the game, you have been blessed to witness with your own two eyes the like of him playing in your colours. They're mentioning the Sess that none of their starting 11 could get anywhere near, on the actual pitch?
Described by one of the commentators at the time as "the difference between the two teams".
Here's a little reminder for the Sunday morning gravy squad.
You probably stood up and applauded in awe when Sess scored that. We f***ing rinsed you......AgainAye he's a true titan of the game, you have been blessed to witness with your own two eyes the like of him playing in your colours.
SM has done nothing yet really, if we're honest. Sessegnon was better than Ben Arfa imo. Didn't Ben Arfa go long stretches not even being able to get a game for you?

The only reason he didn't get a game because of the fuckwit of a manager. Once he was in the team regularly, he performed.
He often used to come off the bench with 15 minutes to go when we were 2 goals behind to 'work his magic'
Do managers regularly leave out their very best players when they're "often" losing games by 2 goals with 15 minutes to go? Seems unlikely. Also bizarre that he stayed for so long under such conditions, could it be that he was massively overrated perhaps? Looks like a pretty similar career path to Sessegnon to me, albeit with a poorer return when he made it to the big league.
That just proves that, as always, we're the yardstick. A good chunk of Sunderland's support would be happy to be in the Northern League finishing mid table as long as we were one place below them. It's probably why as soon as we were relegated and we weren't that crutch anymore in 2016/17 they've plummeted through the divisions.
Take that Nobby and Sonny drivel a few pages back as further proof. Proper cringeworthy.
Bollocks from start to finish, where was our plummet through the leagues when you got relegated ~7 years beforehand? The difference is our owner's ambition was high in ~2010 and in 2017 he'd basically given up. NUFC had nowt to do with it.

Sess better than Ben arfa dear me

Have a look at their careers, very similar in terms of teams played for and goals scored.Sess better than Ben arfa dear me
Answers in bold.

Aye, I mean, just look at their career paths after they played for us. Ben Arfa (after playing for another fuckwit at Hull) moved to Nice where he scored 17 goals on the way to Champions League qualification before moving to PSG, Rennes and now playing for Valladolid in La Liga whereas Sessegnon went to West Brom, then mid-lower table Montpellier and now plays in Turkey.
Similar indeed.
Sessegnon played for PSG too, although he actually had an impact while he was there. Seems to me like Ben Arfa has had 1 strong season since leaving NUFC, where he was in and out of the team by your own admission, and was still coming upto his prime years. Sessegnon left us at 29 years old and continued playing in the Prem for 3 more seasons.
On your last point, you weren't as reliant on the results against us in 2008/09 as you were in 2012-16. For four straight seasons until we were relegated the points you earned against us were the difference between survival and relegation.
Aye we were circling the drain for years, but nothing to do with NUFC, you just continually didn't show up to play against us. The year we went down we had lost M'Vila, Kaboul, PvA and mismanaged Khazri and Kone, replacing them with Ndong, Djillibodji, Pienaar, Oviedo, Love etc. It's nowt to do with playing Boro instead of NUFC. Allardyce had built a decent team, but Short wouldn't have backed him even if he'd stayed.
