We're a long way short of being champions, but I admire your faith in Newcastle and Steve Bruce. Playing badly for potential champions means going to tough grounds, playing beneath themselves and getting a win. Playing badly for relegation/midtable sides means getting a shoeing from good teams and in the 90+ minutes getting 2 wholly unwarranted goals to equalise. Big difference.

I use loads of sources, Understat, Whoscored, soccerstats, transfermarkt, footcharts, football analysis twitter accounts like experimental361, attackingcb etc.

So basically you can't provide what I asked for 😂

What about the stat of Rafa not winning a game last season until November !!

Sorry mate !!
Aye it was a bad start, but it was a tough start. Newcastle faced 5 of the previous season's top 6, plus Leicester. The other 3 fixtures were away to newly promoted Cardiff, away to Crystal Palace and home to Brighton. I'd say that 5-6pts should have been the return from those 9 fixtures. Even in those games we weren't terrible, scoring against each of the top 6 clubs we faced, and only losing by the odd goal. Should have done better in the other games though. Even if we did start Joselu as we were without a fully fit Rondon until the Watford game, which coincided with our first win.

Are the mags still trying to convince themselves that they are in a relegation battle so they can still cry about the way Ashley runs the club?

Eh? You want me to actually give you the stats of where the opposition goals come from etc.? I mean, I can if you like, but that might have to wait until tomorrow if that's all right?

Yeah if you want to base your whole argument on it. I think we need to see where Dubravka is making saves this season compared to last.

Then we need to see where your goals were conceded last year compared to this season

Plus attached with where you source the material from.

Where you chances are created from- Do you mean situation, area of the pitch, or position or player? Like do we create chances from set pieces, or in the 6yd box, from a winger, or from Shelvey

Goals are conceded from? again do you mean situation, area of the pitch?
Saves made from yard distance ? Interesting this one, I'll have a root around, but I've not seen the breakdown by yards distance. Probably be out there somewhere because it makes sense to ask the question.

Would you have made the same excuses for Bruce if he didn't win a game till November?

Day shift in full force...
Just come on after graft and I'm only up to half 11 or summink and it's fekkin honking with them. The takeover mustn't have happened then.
I honestly believe that if Ashley had made assurances about where the transfer power lies, and committed to improving the facilities, (and Benitez had believed him), Benitez would have stayed. £100m kitty or no.
The biggest whopper on here by a whisker, the rest are just behind. 🤔

Would they fuck.

What it boils down to is they cant handle the fact Bruce is a manager FOR WHERE THEY SIT IN THE PECKING ORDER and hes not a Foreigner who has won things elsewhere. It doesnt fit in with their European Super Power agenda and delusions of grandeur. The f***ing morons
Not sure who this "they" is that you keep referring to. Most Newcastle fans dont fit into the sterotype you portray and dont think anything of the sort. Newcastle has its fair share of knackers for fans I'll give you that, as do sunderland and every other club. The view of those knackers isnt that held by the vast majority of supporters, as youd realise if you stepped out of your narrow minded view just for a moment.

100% there is an element of our support who don’t like it when Bruce wins. Mental but true.
I have mates that are anti Bruce, mates that are pro Bruce and ones that are indifferent and I can honestly none of them ever hope we lose so Bruce looks bad
