Good to see Wor Alan would like to see the Mags in the hands of a Saudi regime. It'll be the last time that bald **** will have any rights to freedom of expression if they get their hands on them. But as long as United are in the top 10, nobody gives a fuck, I suppose.

Apparently they respected Benitez as he fought against the regime. No one who isnt a "name" and won stuff at other clubs will get the plaudits he did. He literally could have relegated them again and they would blame Ashley. The self entitled bankers

Its embarrassing and cringeworthy. They think everyone in the country and further afield in the world are willing this to happen and they have millions of Worldwide fans hanging on every word in the media. Even claims that their mental health is being affected. I read the comments from fans who they are due to play (e.g Man City yesterday) and every other club despises them and every one to a man calls them self entitled and deluded. I cringed with the montarges on MOD last night but even their greatest ever striker was openingly laughing at them on National tv. Its beyond a joke man. 65 years since they won the FA Cup yet still described as "nobody loves the Cup like the Geordies". Its hilarious and cringeworthy at the same time. They're footballs David Brent.

I think this has gone beyond the Fit & Proper test. That would have been concluded weeks ago. This is now about TV rights.

My theory is....

The Premier League doesnt want the takeover to happen because they need to protect the Goose with the golden egg which is TV Rights. Any damage to that little earner could screw over the clubs badly.

The Saudis want the club, but dont want to have to buy their own TV rights (and thus pay compensation to Qatari BeIn) or they want their own rights and its now a business negotiation over how much they will pay and how much BeIn will recieve.

The Saudis are making the rights sounds about piracy and hoping to sway the PL.
BeIn are making threats to the PL and/or demanding compensation/access to the Saudi market.

Its a simple stalemate that is far from "Imminent".

Im probably a bit biased, but I think if this is the case, the PL will side with reliable BeIn, but not want to be seen to be doing so. They're hoping the Saudis lose interest so as to avoid any counter claims or legal battles.
Newcastle owned by the Saudis will add minimal value to the PL brand unless they spend massive (which is no guarantee). They have a good relationship with BeIn and will not want to compromise that.

Mirror reporting the piracy issue is difficult to unblock according to the ashley camp. So it has been blocked according to the ashley camp and they are trying to unblock it?
