A very powerful moment in British sport

BLM is a political organisation with lots of different views that not everyone will agree with so to say people who don't agree with BLM are racist just shows what an uneducated thicjk fuck you are if you don't really know what your preaching about do us all a favour and shut the fuck up.
Or if you want to carry on with your mouth piece explain how someone who doesn't agree with the BLM movement is racist, just so we can laugh at your uneducated explanation
Funded by a 89 year billionaire Hungarian who is part of the elite

Its a free country players can express their beliefs as they want....if that means them kneeling down with an international movement against racism...its their right. Love democracy and free speech

Every time I go to Spain benalmadena or Benidorm on holiday the black men in the streets that sell tat keep calling me or other white men "del boy"
I'm not outraged or offended by it

Are you outraged by the fact that the people selling 'tat' in the streets are always black?

Perhaps its their lack of opportunity in other more respectable professions that leads them down this route in the first place and they are a product of inherent racism? Just a thought. Them calling you Del boy, is not really on the same level if you stop to think about it.

So you're telling me the job centre doesn't accept legal immigrants?

You are pathetic and the whole reason this country is in the state it is in.
I'll give you an example i detest every single thing about the IRA but after reading about the history of Ireland I can understand why James McLean refused to wear a poppy .
This biggest problem with the majority of you uneducated left wing idiots is you don't seem to realise there is difference between BLM and the fact that the lives of black people matter.
I disagree with quite a few of BLM views and agenda's but I do believe that the lives of black people matter, 2 totally different things if you can't understand that then you obviously have the problem

You’re a facist. You’re a disgrace.

Looking forward to the absolute sh*t storm thats coming the next time any team or individual is told that they are not allowed to make any political statement. They've set a precedent.

You can make political statements as long as they are of the approved variety.

As I asked you to explain how people who don't agree with the BLM movement are racist as BLM is a political organisation that some people who like myself believe that the lives of black people do matter but may not agree with their aims and agendas.
As you are obviously extremely uneducated I asked you to explain your reasoning for this so people could laugh at your reply.
Guess what thick fuck everyone is laughing at you

It remains clear as day that the extreme aggression, name calling, and bizarre need to group people in to convenient labelled boxes, comes from some people who just can't stand the fact that others have their own opinions differing from their own.

Dion Dublin is spot on. All these footballers / 'Slebs' / high profile people are merely ticking their own PR boxes. It "raises awareness of the movement". Great. We are all aware. Now what?

The PR aspect of empty sentiment and self serving proclamations is the aspect of this that I find the most distasteful. I think the story with Eni Aluko and Nikita Parris sums it up for me. After siding with Mark Sampson Parris sent a 'heartfelt' apology on twitter to Aluko. It was no surprise to learn that Aluko had not received any apology or had any conversation with Parris in private. She hadn't even bothered to send her a text. It didn't matter that she had to apologise her in person, in the right way. All that mattered was that everyone could see her do it. No real desire to apologise. Just a desire to cover her back in case anyone dug up the old footage of her jumping all over Sampson.

Why are people so against the Black Lives Matter campaign? Can people tell me why it bothers them so much?

Perhaps it is not "the campaign" that some people are against?

Clearly there can be very few who would not be in favour of seeing the scourge of racist behaviour eradicated from British life. But the BLM movement itself is a pretty unpleasant organisation with avowed aims which are completely antithetical to our society; de-funding the police, closing down of all prisons, the overthrowing of capitalism just for a few.

This organisation is using some good people to help promote a noble cause, but has very extreme views and aims which it prefers to keep a bit quiet about.

Well put , but someone will still criticise you

Exactly. But many people will think her empty self-protection as admirable, as it's public. Perhaps she was 'raising awareness of the movement' too. Terrific stuff!

I'd have dropped the ball on this one - if I am genuinely sorry i tend to apologise personally. Which wouldn't have helped 'the movement'. What a prat.

That's because they're English, not because they're white - that's my understanding of it anyway.

It does, but employers don't often choose them if they're black.

Vast majority of people are in complete agreement that "Black lives matter" , and that racism is wrong .
What people disagree with are the political aims of the BLM organization .
Smash capitalism ??? The PL are a ruthless money making business .Are players seriously going to play for the minimum wage? Are players going to swap their luxury cars for Ford Fiestas ?
Defund the police ??? Who are players going to call when their homes are broken into ? Ghostbusters ?
Close prisons ? Are players seriously saying all murderers , rapists and paedophiles should be released from prison .
Thanks to such a stupid decision by the PL to have "black lives matter "on the back of all shirts , they have gifted legitimacy to a very dangerous organisation in BLM
Who knows what the future holds , riots , looting deaths ? But the photos of PL players with " black lives matter" on their shirts , might be looked on with the same shame as England players giving the Nazi salute before playing Germany in the 1930,s
The PL is right to fight racism , but wrong to legitimize the BLM organization
Please change the slogan to "all lives matter" , or similar .

I hate this thread, I really do.

It just goes to show that there is still a hardcore of folk, men and woman, who are still offended by the thought of equality with people who happen have been born with a different colour of skin.
it’s incredibly sad.
