good post.

The exact thoughts of every truthful supporter across the land.

The final decision may 100% be up to the PL. Who knows ? Maybe they’ll do exactly what they think is right and bollocks to any outside influence.
May point though is that it would be incredibly naive to think the govt aren’t leaning on them to give the green light. You’ve only got to read the press to see it’s already happening.

The irony for me is that I hate the Tory govt yet I’m glad they’re looking to get it through.
What a load of shite, there's plenty who wouldn't want them taking over their club.

No chance not in a million years , the vast majority would have them in a heartbeat and you know it so stop with the high and mighty talk.
High and mighty 😂😂😂Did I say I wouldn't want them? Why are you on here constantly seemingly looking for validation from Sunderland fans? Go on Toon chat or whatever it's called and talk about it there, it's pathetic man.

I'm being honest, no I wouldn't.

In your position, financially sound, big stadium and big crowds and in a league where the TV money is going one way, up, you can afford to wait for the right new owner to come along, and they will.

I will be honest I will be gutted when that happens but there is no way on earth I would want to be a slave to a regime like that and find myself offering excuses for human rights atrocities and flagrant abuse of international law.

I would buy another lottery ticket the week after thank you very much and take my chances on a different kind of jackpot.

No no, you're not being truthful as apparently EVERY truthful supporter would want them. I agree with you to be honest.

Why would you be gutted, you all think MA has done a fantastic job .

It would be like robbing a bank, would you really enjoy the smell of the money knowing where it came from and you would always be looking over your shoulder waiting for it all to come tumbling down.

I don't recall saying Mike has done a great job. As a business he has done great but I'm not as emotionally involved as you who as a supporter sees things differently. Theres many clubs envious of your position and who would swap places in a heartbeat.

I would be gutted if someone came in and decided to spend huge sums of cash just because they can - you would be exactly the same.

Mike isn't going to do that.

I never said he had?
He has put you into a great position for a sale and being Mike has no scruples about who he is trying to sell you to.

To be Perfectly honest, I’m no expert about Middle Eastern piracy, selling onto Amazon or the finer details in it all. You may be well right.
With regards to that, I can only go off what I’ve read ( and I’ve read pretty much all of it with plenty time on my hands ) and the general consensus from professionals seems to be that whilst the WTO have pointed the finger at KSA, that doesn’t also mean it relates to the buy out of NUFC.
Like I say though , you may very well be right.

How can it not be linked to the buy out of Newcastle?

The Saudi government have refused the PL access to its legal system to challenge BeOutQ.
The Saudi investment fund, which exists to generate money for the Saudi Government now wants to buy a club, which will get cash from the exact people it has allowed broadcasts to be stolen from.

Can you not see how a big investor like a TV company might seek compensation if thats allowed to happen? Or at very least how it would devalue the product when it comes to negotiating a TV deal?

The exclusivity of TV contracts is why the command such a high price. Its why Sky and the PL went in so heavy when all the foreign boxes were drifting about.
It makes a mockery of the exclusivity if they let the PiF buy Newcastle.

My suspicion is this.
The PL will approve the deal if the Saudis allow BeOutQ to be prosecuted by BeIn. But they wont, because BeIn are a Qatari company and they will want compensation from a Saudi company, which they would likely get.

Alternatively they might offer the Saudis a TV package, but then they would have to pay compensation to BeIn. The PL wont spend its own money paying them off, just so the Saudis can have a new toy. It also damages future negotiations as it calls into question how exclusive PL TV deals are.

The UK Government is putting pressure on the PL to accept the takeover. Technically I think the PL would normally approve the takeover, based on the Fit and Proper persons test, but it wont damage its relationships with its broadcasters. So theyre between a rock and a hard place.

I think both the PL and the Saudis are probably wishing this never happened. Is there a certain time before these things expire? If so, I think everyone is waiting for that to pass so they can blame each other and move on.
