A very powerful moment in British sport

interesting to see that the vast majority in your list have not been held back by the colour of their skin and make bucketloads of money. Not saying it is right to throw racist insults, but BLM is a Marxist movement that would ensure their fortunes were taken away.

Did you read the Sterling article? If you type in most, if not any black player's names followed by 'racism' into google, there's bucketloads of articles.

As I said in my original post, those are only footballers, and that is only a small sample of footballers. 0.001% of the population.

As for your Marxist comment, which is ridiculous but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt: Are you suggesting that because there's a small amount of black people that are rich, racism should carry on and the BLM movement should stop?

What would have happened if a player didn't want to?

They'd have (unfairly) gotten dogs abuse and "cancelled". See below of an American Athlete that opposed it but had to quickly apologise.

People are allowed to have differentiating opinions. That's democracy, whether others believe it's right or wrong.

I doubt any player will refuse to kneel in England though, as it would have such a big impact on contracts/sponsors/fans etc. It's why very few famous athletes/celebrities are openly right-wing.

It's literally illegal to be gay in Qatar, so the player protests and boycotts if the next World Cup should be fun.

Man City are owned by the ruling family of a country where migrant workers have no rights and treat almost as slaves. I look forward to their players taking a principled stand and returning their salaries.

Question: is a protest only valid if you protest about every injustice?

follow up question: is it better to be a hypocrite or do nothing?

Is your argument really: "Stand up for absolutely everything or don't bother standing up for anything at all"?
