Perfect timing for me 2month ban to finish yesterday. Looking like I wasn't to far away on me post last night. Page 93 . Big Mike getting your dosh for a few more years. Popping back to 606 couple of canny mags on their believe it or not. Nowt like the infestation on here. Back in a bit.

A few bits in the article from Forbes, of some interest.

FIFA has immediately come out in acknowledgment and support of the WTO report on ‘beoutQ’ and “the active involvement and support that has been provided by Saudi Arabia (KSA) in the past three years.” Adding in a statement sent to Forbes, “The WTO panel’s recommendations are clear and piracy of football matches is an illegal activity and will not be tolerated on any level.”

that the Premier League faced a huge challenge unravelling the piracy allegations from the consortium hoping to buy Newcastle United. One source with knowledge of the owner’s and director's test said the Premier League would be, “Bringing thieves to the table,” by allowing Saudi Arabia to own a club, but turn a blind eye to piracy allegations.

However, the deal is not believed to be dead in the water. Yesterday that the sale of Newcastle United had a 50-50 chance of succeeding. An executive at a top Premier League team told Mike Ozanian, “If you’re asking me which way the vote will go with the owners and directors of the Premier League, it’s a flip of a coin.”

Agreed. Will keep yous up, but that’s it.

I was being sarcastic tbf. General feeling on here is that Ashley does a great job, yet it's somewhat contradictory when people will be jubilant that a takeover falls through. If Ashley was so good for us you'd think SAFC fans might want him to leave so we'd end up in a bad way

It’s definitely because these lot could make you serious contenders rather than how amazing Mike is. He’s also despised by your lot which just makes it plain funny. you know all that tho

Did FIFA say the bit in bold?

It wasn't in the FIFA statement I read or the UEFA one

forget the last question you were right, i found it on the official fifa.
The one i read seems to be sloppy journalism

I'll be hanging round for a day or two either way then I'll probably be off.
If it goes through I'll stay for a a couple of days to take part in the discussion about whats next.
If it doesn't I'll hang around for a couple of days so you lot can enjoy your gloat then i'll be off.

Lad I know ( not a NUFC fan ) has had a read through it and reckons from a legal point of view nothing that is on this report can point to the PIF as 100% guilty. Also the PIF defence / their say on things is of equal importance. He reckons at least another 10-14 days from a final decision on things like this.

If this goes through and Ashley finds himself a few hundred million up does anyone think he'd risk some pocket money and buy us. He's a businessman who must see a bargain. Does he have a spiteful streak in him?
Couldn't do worse.

The MP is on the case.

Don't worry about a pandemic coupled with a global recession, Big Mike has been naughty, again.

Consumer rights > human rights

Well not really, Ashley is doing a good job but he has no where near the money to take you to the next level. These other blokes could. So surely you can see the difference

I think it will end up going through but the hypocrisy is unbearable form the likes of chi and others.

Ashley is the devil and all of his business practices are brought into the argument when they’re trying to get him out. Lobbying parliament etc. KSA are a great bunch of lads though and their human rights record doesn’t come into the equation.

then you’ve got the footballing authorities who couldn’t give a fuck about human rights but as soon as you mention pirating some footy games and money the brakes get put on.

Couldn’t give a fuck if it goes through or not, money isn’t a guarantee and even less so now after the PL pulled the drawbridge up (I said the same when FPP were looking at us) but can’t bear all these mags on twitter trying to justify KSA and their record or arguing the KSA and PIF aren’t related while slagging mike Ashley for zero hours contracts
