Not really followed this at all, but from the bits I’ve seen today it literally depends which interpretation you read.
For every positive slant there is a negative slant
This one not saying it won’t happen but is suggesting it won’t mean a quick decision

La Liga Ceo Tebas not holding back: Here’s a comment from LaLiga, Javier Tebas, on the WTO ruling: “LaLiga welcomes the WTO’s ruling which indisputably establishes Saudi Arabia’s role in one of the most sophisticated and damaging piracy operations that has ever existed.”

I am trying to envisage all scenarios.

If takeover is successful we will be infested with gloating mags such as the wubbleduck et al(no disrespect to the genuine ones on here)
If takeover fails all we will here is “well, at the end of the day we always preferred the Americans.

It's ok though. Gorillacop is confident

No red flags

Think most just want it done...one way or another....
We need something sorted....there is no leadership at the top at the moment.....
Things need sorted ...players Contracts....season ticket refund....still the only Premier club not to do so.

True! I think that is why Ashley is even less forthcoming with money, why pay out if the club isn’t going to be mine attitude

Yes, the report said that KSA failed to take action against the perpetrators of piracy. Not that the Saudi state or PIF were responsible For the piracy.
Well, you’re really giving it everything to protect the Saudi’s good name aren’t you. Despite the evidence put in front of you, you still refuse to believe that PIF, MBS and the KSA are not linked or that they have any involvement in the piracy. Even if the state wasn’t actually involved (I’m being very generous here), the fact that the state refused permission for legal action to be taken the piracy is a very worrying concern for the PL.

Having read the piece on Sky and now that the major issue has been clarified by the WTO of Saudi's blatant use of illegal feeds through set top boxes, coupled with them using Govt powers to stop any recourse through their legal system to try and stop it, I just don't see how the PL can wave this through. The PL would be contradicting its own business operation by allowing through an owner that has trodden all over the protected brand.

It might take the complete and proved cessation of streaming from BeIN for a long period of time to be able to convince the PL that they have changed their ways.

It's a pisser for folk who normally get to watch those illegal streams mind, but I suppose it was always a matter of time before either technology or legal matters caught up with live streaming football.

I agree, embarrassing behaviour. Why they can’t show a bit of class and keep their counsel is beyond me?

No mincing of words there like. Must be on pretty solid ground to be making such strong statements.

Yep, it's just clutching at straws. I think most people that are trying to look at this with a pinch of honesty would agree it's not looking likely now. I do reckon if the streams dry up then in 6 months all will be forgiven and the deal will be allowed.
