I'll be honest. I'd love to see this takeover go through.
They will instantly be the most hated club in Europe. We are also nearing the point where there are too many billionaire owners in the PL competing for 4 spots. Newcastle will always have at least 6 huge football clubs ahead of them. Seeing them throw millions at over priced players on inflated wages just to challenge for 7th will be hilarious.

Isn't it 5th place gets Europa, plus FA cup and league cup winners? So 7th would need a side above to win a cup.

according to all the reports they have had a copy of it for weeks.
I think it's a worry that they are going to fail it and are waiting for the report to be made public so they can use it to strengthen their case in the court of public opinion.
I think most of the stuff written is just journalists trying to find something to write that will get clicks to be honest.
The people that know what's going on are saying nowt.
I do think the take over will go through though, although that doesn't stop me worrying that it won't.

All the noises coming from the buyers indicate they won't be throwing money at players. However the noises coming out over the previous 10 weeks is that it's going through next week, then the following week and so on. Somemone is telling the media this. Now 10 weeks on and still nothing announced. Luke Edwards mentioned that the last takeover attempt from Staveley, the Everton game, he wrote it was happening and all going through only for nothing to happen. Not saying this won't happen but there's obviously issues.
