Our supporters have totally different levels of what's good and acceptable, based mainly on what happened in the 90s. Sunlun might see premier league mediocrity and 1 season in Europe in 13 years as decent

But when us mags grew up challenging for the title and in Europe for about 10 seasons in a row then what has happened in the Ashley years has been a disgrace

So the 13 year under Ashley are a disgrace, I take it the 30 odd year from the late fifties to the early nineties (many seasons outside the top flight) were also a disgrace yet the 10 seasons you mention are really where NUFC should be.

Spot the anomaly.

Wasn't born then binxy lad so doesn't count

also it was a different game back then. Considering who we got right on the gravy train in a big way when the PL started then yeah we should have used that upward trajectory to stay at the top
he's also got you to an f a cup qf unlike Benitez
