It's a farce of a decision.

Bad enough for us (not that I expected promotion anyway), but this relegates Tranmere who were out of the relegation spots and in form. I'd be straight down the lawyers if I was their chairman.

League Two I am hearing is unanimous.
Only Forest Green voted to carry own. Of all Clubs in League Two they are the one club I will be pleased not to go back to.

Until it’s official not going to go mental.
It’s a done deal, you have permission to go mental. Congratulations.

You don't dictate the leagues rules based on the finances of a single club, that isn't rational at all. It is the job of the league to decide what is most fair and equal. The decision they have come to clearly isn't that.

It's not a single club. The EFL, a co-association of its members, has collectively agreed to amend its framework from this point forward. That's why all 70+ members voted for or against this morning's resolutions. It is obviously more attractive to members to make a system where - in the event of any current or future curtailment - the lucrative games will be played while the money-sink games get scrapped. It's professional football. All members also stand to gain from their slice of larger pot of tv cash as, by having play-offs, Sky's rebate will be less. That's why it passed we're hearing overwhelmingly.

Then, this afternoon, with the framework in place each league gets to decide by simple majority whether to curtail or not.

I can understand why clubs would vote in their own favour, of course, but they shouldn't have been given the vote in the first place. Or, the option should have either been complete the season or void it.
Correct.

Voting for the winning lottery ticket when ya kna the numbers. Complete and utter disgrace.

Yay refund for the remaining games happy with that’s couldn’t bare watching anymore of that shite. Press on with the takeover and then a new manager please

it was up there with the best of them, but there has been a few contenders for that accolade this season alone. gillingham away in the cup and away in the league for a start. plus scunthorpe away in the EFL trophy (they were bottom of L2 at the time i think) smashed us 3-0. lincoln-wycombe-shewsbury away in october, as a collective, was utterly dire (i drove to all three) i don't think we even had a shot on target in all three games combined, we certainly didn't score a bastard goal. bolton away, considering the opposition was a new low-point at the time.
We hit the post three times against Shrewsbury...think it was their only shot on target

Tranmere were/are in the relegation zone?

did we? i was drenched to the bone and freezing. bored, and frustrated. and pissed off. i seem to remember mcgeady just slowly ambling around half interested. and a couple of supporters coaches turned up at half time due to the floods just to see them score. anyway there remains no positives to take from a month where i drove about 1400 miles following the lads, to see us lose every game and not score. a bad, bad memory

They weren’t out of the play off spots, but they were 3 points behind 4th bottom with a game in hand.

I know I keep using the same analogy, but did you vote “Leave” in the EU referendum? If so, did you vote in the European elections 18 months later? You if so, you voted to leave the EU then voted on how it should be run........ that’s just crazy.

At the end of the day, the clubs are voting for their preference, not providing an ultimatum. At this point in time for the teams in the play off positions, they can play another 8 games to try for 2nd place and then potentially have to play another 3 to get promoted if they have to settle for the play offs. Alternatively they can skip the next 8 games and go straight to a “win 3 games and get promoted” scenario. It’s a no brainier for them, regardless of how “unfair” it is.
I voted Leave and didn’t vote in any subsequent EU election ..... why would I ?

Does my answer help Sunderland to gain promotion ? If not your analogy is complete bollocks

What could possibly go wrong? Were turkeys ever going to vote for Christmas? It shouldn't have been something to even vote on. Teams with only £2k attendances aren't going to give a shite about lost match day revenue now are they?

As a player signs it has to be confirmed by a player holding a scarf above his head.

I need to see “Swindon Town have been promoted” in the press. Champions a bonus but just Promotion would do for me.

........By Friday in true Swindon fashion we will have been demoted for some financial irregularity. Was good whilst it lasted.
