The EFL have no backbone, we don't deserve to be in the play offs but the season wasn't over, should have been voided if it couldn't be finished

Keep reading this, yet a maximum of 3 playoff games is going to cost a lot less than it would for the season to be finished, Wycombe for example can afford 3 games but not 9, makes perfect sense.
They'll not go up anyway. They're absolutely f***ing shite.hopefully whoever plays wycombe in the play offs absolutely butchers them first leg and the tie is effectively over
Can we not apply for a full season ticket refund from the efl due to the season not being completed? The EFL have no backbone, we don't deserve to be in the play offs but the season wasn't over, should have been voided if it couldn't be finished

I agree they don’t deserve automatic promotion, but we’d still be settling for play offs if we were in them.I disagree as Rotherham don't deserve automatic promotion and second place was very much there for the taking.
Its a fitting end to this League One season. It began as a farce with Bury, continued to be a farce with Bolton fielding a youth team for two months and it has ended as a farce with this vote.
The way I look at it is parachute payments were in place for years, everyone knew about them so therefore fair. Changing how promotion/relegation happens part way through a season is new to everyone and therefore unfair.well its a parachute payment that paid by the premier league to a team playing in league 1 which not only disadvantages teams in league 1 but rewards failure its totally the same inequity in the system

These clubs have the option of playing on and playing another 8/9, potentially 11/12 if they miss out on second and have to settle for the play offs.
Alternatively they can settle for the play offs and gain promotion in 3 games. It’s a no brainier for top 6 clubs, regardless of whether Rotherham are getting preferential treatment or not.
6 of the points will have come from teams bartering Bolton and then they were ever so slightly in order by the time it come to other teams. No excuses for us though we should have destroyed them as well.
We would of been promoted under this same system has we not lost to Gillingham and Bristol Rovers. You cannot say that it is entirely the EFL and not at least, in part, a problem of our squad and manager.
This in a nutshell and anyone suggesting its just sour grapes will find comments from several like minded posters who said it was a joke when implemented elsewhere before it even affected us.I can understand why clubs would vote in their own favour, of course, but they shouldn't have been given the vote in the first place. Or, the option should have either been complete the season or void it.
