Coldest match

Man City at home on a Monday night when Keegan was their manager. Especially when everyone on my row fucked off when we went 3-0 down.

There was a cold Monday night 0-0 against Stoke as well.

Blackburn away under Keane. Was 29th December iirc? A night match. Performed rancidly. Whitehead missed a pathetically soft penalty at 0-0 and Benny McCarthy buried his in the 90th minute.

Parked in a school at the top of the bank that the Fenhurst is at the bottom of. Drove me and me mates down in me t shirt opened the boot to get me coat out... forgot the twat. Was f***ing critical by full time!

If a was a mag Sky Sports would have been wanking over z as a tough northerner who doesn’t feel the cold. Only time av been colder since is in the Falklands in a rain, snow, sleet, ice storm on Mt Kent!

I wonder if we have the coldest ground in the English football league?

We’re in the North of the country and we’re on the coast. Maybe the Pennines clubs like Rochdale and Oldham might have a stronger claim?

I often think the Stadium of Light is colder than the city centre for some reason.

Talking of cold matches, slightly off on a tangent though. I was doing a crossword the other day where the clue was ....a card game first word three letters, second word six letters. For the life of me I couldn’t solve it and had to wait until the next day for the answer which of course was Ice Hockey, after all it really is a bloody card game.

I’ll get my coat!
