not specifically aimed at Newcastle for using the furlough scheme but I think any business using it when they could afford not to, is just wrong. Just my opinion. The analogy would be someone claiming tax-credits or JSA when they’ve got a million quid in the bank but they do because they are entitled to it. Could or should claim
I think hat's a perfectly valid opinion as long as it's any business that can afford it, which i believe is what you're saying.

My semi regular check in - heard a load of bluster about this pirate sports streaming channel over the last few days but I thought the league knew about it and weren't arsed.

What's new or is it just back page sensationalism?

Nothing new, same old same old, no new information

You reckon in the (unlikely, imo) event PIF failed the test that the Reuben Bros and Stavely would go it alone? They're richer than Liverpool's owners iirc but I guess it depends on their personal appetite.
My gut instinct would be no.
i think Staveley would be if the Reubens were putting up the money void left by the Saudis but I don't think they would be up for that.
I see the Reubens more of a small scale involvement on the football side and a large involvement on the development side.

I'm just guessing like so who knows.
I don't think this American waiting in the wings is a real thing though, I think that's just a bit mischief making by Qatar

Only 3 games away from silverware.

Wouldn't it be great if a North East team won the cup this year?

A real lift for everyone.

American? That's new information to me

Richard keys keeps dropping his name and there has been a few news paper stories about him saying he is willing to cough up 350 million.

Like I say though I think it's bull shit, smoke and mirrors, a bit of mischief making.

One thing that has confused me from the beginning is that if the split is 80:10:10 then any investment made in the playing squad (over and above revenue) must equally be matched by the owners (in proportion). Is this not the problem Arsenal have/had been facing?

Getting nowt out of him and it doesn't appear as if it's anytime soon 'Timing not an issue'.
