Imagine being this smug about how amazing Newcastle are and how shit Sunderland are!
Imagine being this smug and posting over 18,000 times over a period of 9 years on the Sunderland Message Board.
Imagine being this smug that during those 9 years you pretend to support Sunderland until it looks like Newcastle are being taken over by the Saudi Royal Family.
Imagine being this smug that your first thought after your teams last minute loss to their inferior rivals at St James' Park on the 21st December 2015 is to post this

f***ing hell. Being sad enough to pretend to support your rivals on a message board is one thing, but even if I stooped to that level, there's no way I'd be carrying it on when my side had just conceded a last minute winning goal in a derby. Just weird, I couldn't even pretend to be happy, absolute wrongun

Ignoring for a second just how embarrassing and cringey that is I can't believe it's been 6 years like.

Precisely why you should take his posts as being lies. As I showed before on this thread. Bloke is the human equivalent of the waste bits of a mouldy pomegranate.

Sad bastard

I don't think the ruling by the WTO is about Bin Salman as a individual, it was about the Saudi government, from what i have heard the ruling was not that the Saudi government was responsible for the piracy but that they had failed to provide adequate protection to prevent the piracy. Not doing enough to stop something and actually do the something are very different things.
Then you have the proof factor, WTO say they did, they say they didn't.

The reason I said there is nothing new is because the Premier League have been in possession of the ruling for a while now, this is not new news to them.

I think one of the main things for me is i am not even sure that Bin Salman is even subject to the owners and directors test. The Premier League see the PIF as simply a company based in Saudi Arabia, anyone that would be on the board of Newcastle will be subject to the test i'm not so sure Bin Salman will be and if he is not then all these issues become irrelevant.

I am not a lawyer though so I have no idea how close or wide of the mark I am.
I will say what i always say, I hope it will happen but until I see new owners with the keys to the club I will not believe it or celebrate it.
Bin Salman is the Saudi government you whopper. What he says goes.

Dear me something seriously wrong with this like

I suppose this could be one of the many issues with this case. Bin Salman will probably never be on the board of directors, but the source of funds is from more than just an ordinary company in Saudi, it’s the actual wealth fund of the country, the country which is known to support terrorism, murder, kidnapping, piracy, etc..., therefore it could be argued that the source of funds being used is not from an appropriate source. A bit like a Colombian cartel trying to buy a club with money obtained from the drug trade which everyone is aware of, but if the said Colombians has never been found guilty of any crimes in their country, should the FA allow the deal to go through knowing how the money was obtained and simply turn a blind eye to the alleged atrocities committed by the cartel?
I don't think it's reasonable to argue that the source of the money is similar to cartel money, there is nothing illegal or immoral about where the money comes from, or no more so than where the UK get their money from.
You can obviously reasonably argue that many of the things they do with their money and their actions in general are very very wrong and if the moral character of people at the source of the money was part of the test then you would expect them to fail.

There is no suggestion Bin Salman will be on the board though so the million dollar question is according to the premier league rules is he close enough to the sale to be subject to the directors test. My thought is he probably isn't but like i say I am not a lawyer and have no expertise here.

Even if he is close enough there would still be the question.... are his actions as head of state attributed to him as a individual.
Heads of state can't be prosecuted under international law, he could walk up to you and smash your head in with a hammer while the BBC film it and he couldn't be arrested for it never mind convicted of it, and the premier league test specifically mentions convictions.

Like i say though i really don't know, just have to wait and see.
All i can say is i wish it would be decided one way or the other.

People think this nothing?

The PL and the government wanted to give IPTV providers up to 10 years in prison. Pubs had massive fines and lost their licenses for showing matches threw illegal streams. We were told we are robbing from our clubs and funding organized crime, even terrorism! Big TV companies are annoyed that they've invested billions into sport and their product is being stolen from them. Clubs, franchises and athletes are annoyed that their image rights are been stolen. I know it's hard to feel sorry for them but that's what is.

If the PL allow this they are opening a Pandora's box. Can anyone who was found guilty of streaming or provide pirated material have their conviction over turned? Are TV companies content going to be protected and why should they pay if their is content is illegally streamed but you can't do anything about it? Can the local pub start showing 3pm games on Saturday on an illegal stream?

Yes I know, what point are you trying to make?

Yes they can but if they get taken to court for it and found guilty they get done and fined.

If the Saudis are found by the UN, WTO or any individual country to be guilty of piracy they will get done as well, i assume in the form of sanctions.
The UK currently have no sanctions in place or planned.

Like I say I'm not sure any of this effects the PIF buying into NUFC, i'm not sure it doesn't either mind so who the fuck knows.

You are like lightning! Are you simultaneously posting on FB at the same time on all things NUFC?
