Is Ashley desperate for money with the high street completely dead now? Maybe the Saudis are trying to get a better deal.

I don't think so, I think it's fair to say Ashley and the Saudis have done the deal and it's down to the the Premier league now.
Usually when these deals break down I think it's Ashley moving the goal posts, If it doesn't go through I can't lay the blame at Ashley's door this time it will simply be down to the premier league putting the block on it.

I don't think this latest WTO ruling changes things either, there is nothing new in it, for me nothing has changed since the WTO story broke, it's just a case of as we were.

As to if the take over goes through, your guess is as good as mine.

It was alleged that Bin Salman’s involvement in piracy was rife and ripping off the Premier League (and many others).
The world’s leading authority on trade whose trading rules we will soon be bound to thanks to the shit show that is Brexit have deemed his involvement to be absolute fact.

That’s nothing new?

Let me guess he and the presenters are furiously wanking off the Mags?

Jim White is being his usual cringey self. Hope is basically saying nobody knows what the PL are thinking, but they've tried to hold the Saudis to account numerous times on piracy. But that PIF are adamant they have nowt to do with it.

If the premier league give the green light given the WTO ruling then you may as well give the green light for pirate TV. It’s a huge problem for TV companies that pay huge money for tv sports rights. It means that tv rights become worthless.

Even though hard evidence says they do.

I reckon the PL are trying to kick it into the legal long grass so that one of the Saudis/Ashley pull it, saving them a difficult decision.

The kids shitting himself

On another note, when was the "no politics in football" scrapped? Since any country can buy a football club now, from PSG to the mags, we should expect Assad preparing a bid for an European club next?
