I think they will be best placed to survive the despair coming and will sadly be in the top table with the clubs you mention , artificially bankrolled

Nah. Saudi Arabia has enough problems as it is. They'll not be throwing copious amounts of money at them while making huge cuts at home. Personally don't really see much changing if/when this takeover goes through. They will probably invest in areas Ashley has obviously neglected, but the days of spending sprees by Middle East backed clubs might be gone anyways.

Talkshite saying presser at 10:00 at SJP

It's called Talkshite for a reason. Can't see there being any press conferences in the middle of a Worldwide Pandemic.

I still think there'll be some bumps in the road for them over this takeover. Don't think it's the done deal they're claiming it is all over social media.

It was absolutely awful mind, however even though they had names like Ginola, Asprilla then a little later on brought Shearer for a record fee, it never once stopped me wanting to support Sunderland.

I say that because going to school at the time in South Shields there was still about a 50/50 split of us and mags. We used to be able to take our footy tops in to wear at dinner time to play football.

While all the mugs wanted to be one of their foreign or international stars all I wanted was to play like Bally!

there was an awful period when they had keegan and were the ‘entertainaz’ in the premier league and Boro brought in Robson and won the league and we had Micky Buxton. That was grim. But then we brought in reidy and we won the league the same season they blew the 12 point lead. So it was actually not too bad. Then they got rid of keegan and went on the slide as we had our really good period under Reid. So it was a brief period of grimness asI say which combined with the Buxton/keegan/Robson axis of evil. This however could be much worse!

They’ll want to make a statement otherwise why bother. Oil prices will shoot up soon enough

Who cares, football is fucked for the foreseeable future anyway. No fans in stadiums for at least a year, revenues dropping through the floor etc.
