they might, they might not. Can’t go chucking money around unless it’s legitimately accounted for and even then, Liverpool are built on very strong foundations and a lot more ethical and prestigious. And Man U will always be a bigger draw.

we are moving into a whole new world. I don’t think there are any guarantees at all. Also, they will be despised, especially given the world is becoming a nicer place in light of corona. It’s going to look horrendous
I think they will be best placed to survive the despair coming and will sadly be in the top table with the clubs you mention , artificially bankrolled

exactly....the current big hitters in the Prem arnt just going to lie down and watch the Mags take over. The source of the investment could also be a motivating factor for their opponents.
Some players might use the moral issue as a reason NOT to sign for the Mags ?......nothing is guaranteed

Did the Saudi rulers kill your financee? She has been campaigning to the UN about justice for Jamal Khashoggi. Your fans are treating her like dirt because she is trying to fight for justice and isn't afraid to take on this tyrant even if it costs her life!

You certainly live up to your name. The Scum!

Honestly not arsed. The money awash in the gamer is obscene and the Premier League is the centre of it.

We live in a different world now and if our club can stop being a shambles and find a strategy that focuses on youth without many ridiculous transfer fees, I'll be perfectly happy.

A stronger, richer and more dynamic Newcastle is more likely to have a positive impact on Sunderland imo. May take a few years, mind...
This was my thought. In terms of the area as a whole everywhere will get some sort of rub off of Newcastle as a city being a success. Not sure how much effect Newcastle utd having some success will have on that though. Leicester hasn't exactly become some new cosmopolitan destination since their success.

then they’ll be kicked out of Europe the way Chelsea and Man City have been(assuming the qualify) and, moving forward, penalised domestically too, as city may yet be.

horse has bolted, football is changing and has to change. There will be a huge stigma attached to Newcastle United. They could well become the most disliked club in the world. A bit like being rich, massive house, a pool, cars....and no friends.

It’s odd, if this happened whilst we were in the premier league in the same division as them I would be gutted.

Now? I couldn’t really give a fuck.

Absolutely kills me to say it but good luck to them. North east football has been the laughing stock of country for how many years now man, they have absolutely hit the jackpot just like we thought we had will the Dell lot. Sods law they come out smelling like roses and we don't even know if our short-medium term future is secured.

Fuck that. And fuck them.

I don’t know how old you are but I can only assume that you don’t remember what the early 90’s were like. Good for the north east? Bollocks

It was absolutely awful mind, however even though they had names like Ginola, Asprilla then a little later on brought Shearer for a record fee, it never once stopped me wanting to support Sunderland.

I say that because going to school at the time in South Shields there was still about a 50/50 split of us and mags. We used to be able to take our footy tops in to wear at dinner time to play football.

While all the mugs wanted to be one of their foreign or international stars all I wanted was to play like Bally!
