Whilst I would love it, LOVE IT, to be called off for the obvious reasons, frankly if anything got in the way it would stink to high heaven. Apparently a bunch of clubs are against it. On what basis? The hypocrisy of anything relating to human rights getting in the way aswell given we are balls deep into Saudi all over the place would be rank to be honest and I’d probably even find myself annoyed on their behalf! Lets all just hope they spunk it on eleven 45 million Jer Lintons then lose heart in it all and pull out

I'd be gutted if we were even capable of challenging them, but being in the same league is so many years away that they're just another club to me at the minute.

Not looking forward to another era of desperately hoping they don't win a trophy. How they fucked it up last time and didn't win a trophy despite being the biggest spenders in world football was incredible.

We might not be so lucky this time with other clubs unable to splash as much cash.

Absolutely kills me to say it but good luck to them. North east football has been the laughing stock of country for how many years now man, they have absolutely hit the jackpot just like we thought we had will the Dell lot. Sods law they come out smelling like roses and we don't even know if our short-medium term future is secured.

Good luck to them? Fuck that
I cant help thinking if it was you the deal would not bother anybody on here.
Do one Benji, plenty traffic on the road to play with at the moment.

So what they are going to be richer than us, better than us, probably win trophies. I am more bothered about my club at the moment. We are in heard times, can’t believe it’s going to be a 3rd season in this shit league. Some people need to give it rest with their childish jealousy.
It’s not just childish jealousy though. Should they become a serious challenger for the league and begin to purchase world class players , we may as well right off the next generation of supporters. It was bad enough in 92 onwards but in the position we are currently in , I can see kids in the very heartlands of Sunderland , growing up to be Mag supporters.

Surprise answer when you said your knowledge of KSA, is based on what you have read on here and bit from the internet. When if you have visited the Middle East (an AI in Turkey or Egypt doesn't count) you would have first hand experience as Sauid's, and there influence are everywhere.
Sorry mate I'm unsure what you're getting at, can you elaborate.
I didn't say my knowledge stems from what I have read on here I said the news and things I have read online, obviously life experience as well as I have a few years behind me.
Like I say though I claim no expertise on the subject.

This unfortunately, heartbreaking

The surviving SAFC fans will be seen as cool hipster rebel types, football supporters will travel from across Europe to watch us as their favourite 2nd team, we will be the subject of countless documentaries and psychological observations. We will quote Shakespeare, shag fit women and drink brands of beer that the plastic mags have never dreamed of.

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers ...

I've said before mate, they're playing a different sport to us.
I think you’ve not seen too much of us this season although granted, I’ve not seen much of Sunderland. Things can change very quickly and we could well be playing each other way sooner than you think. However, as long as Donald and his cronies are in charge that day will look a long way off. I struggle to find how anyone can defend them - utterly incompetent, inept f***ing liars. A dreadful set of useless arseholes.
