Well the broadsheets are going with imminent. My God they are going to be unbearable.....

Nevermind, we can console ourselves with scrapping around the bargain basement. I do find it astonishing that we are basically worth less than a Joelinton transfer deal when you take into account fees, wages etc....and he is wank by the way.

This is going to be a difficult period for our supporters. Keep your chins up, we will hopefully have our day in due course.
They could still get relegated.

If this takeover doesn’t go through I am setting up a twitter account to share the best mag meltdowns which will be of epic proportions man has ever seen. If it goes through all social media is getting deleted and I will lose most of my interest in the game if we can’t even compete with the scum what is the point!
According to the Saudi state news the Premier League have approved it so it's not looking good for your social media life.
We need to find an investor from Qatar get a Sunderland/Qatar v Scum/Saudi Scum rivalry going :D
Qatar are buying Leeds apparently.

Are you saying Saudi and Qatar won't be bidding against each other for the middle eastern package when it next comes up for crabs?
I think it’s possible that if the F.A. allow the Saudi’s to buy Newcastle despite the piracy issues, then Bein may decide not to bid in the next rounds in protest at the lack of support. If this deal goes through then it will be fairly obvious that the Saudis will have agreed to bid next time to grease the palms of the F.A. who will benefit as a shareholder in the Premier League. Also wouldn’t be surprised if Qatar indirectly set up a rival pirate broadcaster.

Is there only one person working at the premier league now then? Bearing in mind it wouldn’t take that long to actually go through this “deal”.
Sorry, didn't realise you were involved in the deal. Given your insight, can you tell me how long it normally takes for Mike Ashley to sell to a 3 party consortium, where one of the parties is an investment arm of the Saudi regime, where in addition to the Human Rights issues there are also piracy issues, during a global pandemic?

Are you aware the reason why Joe bloggs in saudi is not paying legally for Premier League football is not because they decided they didn't want to pay for it but because Qatar said we are not going to sell you it?
The whole thing is a pissing contest between Qatar and several other countries lead by the KSA, they will still be pissing after the NUFC take over and when the broadcasting rights come up for grabs again they will still be pissing.

Basically Qatar said to the KSA and others, fuck you, we own the rights to broadcast the PL over here and to show you we are billy big balls even though we will lose a load of money we are not going to let you buy it from us.
The Saudi answer was fuck you, you don't want to sell us the football no bother we'll pirate it and you will lose all that money for nothing and our citizens still get to watch it, who's billy big balls now.

They will both bid for it next time as both want to show it's them that are the billy big balls, and should the saudi's win then Qatar will be doing exactly the same and Richard keys will be working for BeoutKSA

I'm with Benizz here. People have been saying it's on the verge of happening for weeks now and they've still got Ashley there. Don't know why everyone is suddenly worrying now.

If it was going to happen it would have already happened. There's obviously some pretty big reasons for the hold up. I don't think it'll go through.
It will be happening but won’t be as glittery and golden as they think. A lot of factors at play at the moment including a failing Saudi economy. I’m still amazed anyone wants to buy a football club in the current climate with the game on the verge of collapse.

I think you’re forgetting your Texaco Cup exploits, which incidentally, was also an invitation only tournament.
What about the two Trafalgar Square trophies that you lot won recently.
On a separate note your Jim Rodwell is coming on talk sport after the break if any of you lads are interested
