listening now. Anybody searching on Spotify please don’t do what I did and spend first 5 minutes listening to the thrash metal band of the same name.

A few years back, I decided to like Rough Trade (shops) on Facebook. I got the wrong shop and was briefly a fan of San Francisco's premier store for gay bondage equipment. I only noticed when a mate messaged me to suggest that I might have the wrong shop.

really liking that sinead o brien stuff. Is there an album due mate ?

Probably won't get an album for a year or so but this debut EP is lined up for summertime. All produced by Dan Carey. She's excellent live too. Very intense, sort of conducts the drummer and the guitarist. No set is ever the same.

Brilliant. Save your story for the judge though mate ;)

Nobody been listening to Ist Ist? Debut album ‘Architecture’ was out last week after a few EP’s. Massively Joy Division influenced, with a lot of synth going on. Nothing that hasn’t been done before but pretty good all the same.

sounds right up my street. Not hear of do definitely listen to that cheers.

I take it the single is something other than "In Birdsong", which is excellent but came out in April?

Exactly! Something brand new. And it definitely appeals more to their pop side than 'In Birdsong' (which I love too) but is more experimental / proggish than the typical EE single.

Not sure of this is content for a music thread or Pure Football, but I thought it was moderately interesting. Alkaline Trio just announced a collaboration with FC St Pauli, releasing music (starting with their new EP) and joint merch as part of St Pauli's "Rock and Roll Football" arm, aimed at anti-racism/fascism, anti-hate messaging. Looks like FCSP also work with other punk bands like the Dropkicks, Descendents, and Refused

New albums this week from Asking Alexandria, Bon Jovi, Charli XCX, Jason Ibell and the 400 Unit, Jess WIlliamson, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith (but this may have been put back to August), Land Of Talk (may well be put bsck to end of July), Magnetic Fields, Moses Sumney (second half of grae), Perfume Genius, Sparks, The Dears, Willie Nile and Moby.

There's a good half dozen there for me.

Isbell, Moby and Western Addiction (Fat Wreck Chords don’t appear to put their releases on Metacritic any more so not on your list) for me.

KAS, Magnetic Fields and Perfume Genius for me

Yep, that, Magnetic Fields, Jess Williamson and Sparks are the things I'm looking forward to most. Also, the Moses Sumney album (the first half of it is excellent). Jason Isbell and The Dears are definite listens as well.
Cheers will check them out.

I gotta get over this thing I have when you do your Thursday posts of going straight to spotify to listen to the new stuff only to remember they're not out until tomorrow!
