Are you asking me to search out a Mag forum for you? also why do you keep starting sentences on separate lines?
Ease of reading on an iPhone, really.

Yes, I thought someone might know a comparable site?

Personally, I would be amazed if a club like yours hasn’t got numerous forums, I know for a fact that you have one as your compatriot Sima posted a nasty comment on it after repeating what was said on here by a female supporter of ours.
As I have said before without trying to be disrespectful I can’t understand why you all spend as much time on here?

Just Googled as you said, Newcastle discussion board, it did not bring me here but to Toontastic and Toonforum both absolutely dire but now I have sorted it for you farewell.

Recommend one please, this is where Newcastle discussion board web search took me.

I like to indulge the right hand side of my brain with creative writing.

Some of these posts are not just thrown together it takes a certain imagination.

I deliberately never resort to profanity or petty slurs but if my writing offends I will happily risks your recommendation.
Creative writing was not used in the construction of that last sentence. I'm out.

I enjoy a debate. There is enough people on here who can make coherent and reasoned comment to make a response worthwhile.

In the words of Tim Booth perhaps
“you’re going to miss us when we’re gone” but I will have a search.

Anything that starts with the word “toon” does not suggest intelligent debate but I’m sure there is better.

Yes, many myths get repeated so much they enter the national consciousness.

“The famous atmosphere” pretty much has not existed for 15 years but we cannot change the narrative of lazy headline writers.

With the right impetus, the club can turn the tap back on and a whole new generation can see the passion north east people have for their football.

Sky and the Premier league need a bit of it to enhance their product. They need the zeitgeist of Newcastle 93-96 back.

Newcastle fans celebrating goals is a spectacle. Remember those closing credits to Monday games in the 1990’s accompanied by “that’s entertainment” by the Jam.

It’s just different to Leicester fans with their “clappers” when Newcastle score. It is more euphoric and embodies a deeper pride way beyond a mere football club.

You're forgetting that crowds in the 90s were different to now. These days it's a much more middle class sport. Look at the crowd reaction at Old Trafford whenever they scored in the mid 90s, it was far more animated than it is now. Same with us, you look at goals we scored at home and away (when our away fans were behind the goal) and there's just limbs everywhere. You do still get away fans going mental but nowhere near what they used to. Nowadays most home crowds are quiet as fuck compared to the 90s when a lot of stadiums in my experience were loud as fuck, not just the Sol or SJP.

Then surely common sense would have you only engaging with those people who can make coherent and reasonable comment and ignore the rest?
As for the other mags on here, I would be grateful to hear exactly why they spend so much time on here?

That is sadly true. The gentrification of football.

Suggestions will be made to the new owners about stadium extension and creating a designated area for people of an ‘ultra’ persuasion. German clubs do this effectively.

The passion still runs through both clubs more than most I feel.

This is one of the busiest football forums going. There is more to it than just SAFC.

I originally came on here to see how you were reacting to your demise, I'm originally from CLS, so I have a lot of mates who follow your lot, took a lot of shit when we were relegated.

It's also very interesting to see how fickle football fans are, this place really highlights it, probably due to the fact it's so busy. There is no Newcastle forum that is as busy. When Stewie came along he was lauded as a hero and saviour, now look at it. A lot of parallels with Mike Ashley.

Also I like Parsnip.

It is little wonder non are as busy as they all post here, I have a serious suggestion why not create a separate forum on here where you could all post away happily. this thread is close to 500K views.

Watching the Stuart Donald situation through the prism of these boards and the fact the documentary is one season in arrears is a case study in fickle football fans.

As I watched the documentary he came across as a sincerely reasonable man. He panicked on a football decision (Grigg) but admirably made a stand against agent greed (Maja).

Had he retained Maja I’m sure he would still be very popular amongst the public because it would have guaranteed promotion.

If as expected the Saudi’s splash the cash, the Premier League will become more interesting. It would be the same in our league. How excited do you get when the opposition team are read out and you haven’t heard of any on them?

Jealousy? Are you sure you actually expend time and energy and go to games? As you really do not seem to understand how a football fans mind works? If this is happens and you are signing Mbappe (yeah right) etc. then we will be irked, pissed off at your condescending comments but jealous? Not at all. Not one single thought of jealousy. You choose your club, or to borrow the Everton phrase, are born to your club, and stick with it. I just said to my 12 year old will you jealous of Newcastle, if the signed Mbappe. He laughed...all it meant to him was not being able to pick him for his FIFA team!

Everton fans are not jealous of Liverpool? Real Man Utd fans are not jealous of City. It just makes that win, when it comes all the more sweeter.

What are you basing this on? Why would any team be happy that a league rival has more money to spend?
Some good points in here but disagree about the Everton jealousy. I worked in Liverpool for 10yrs and it was painful listening to the Evertonians, the Reds used to call them and still do, "bitter blues."

I’m a sad bastard with too much time on my hands.

But you could be pioneers on your own forums, I am sure there are enough of you on here to create decent crack amongst your own?

Unfortunately, I think we'll need to ban all mags from here if the takeover goes through. Too many popping up out of the woodwork with condescending posts and the bastarding thing hasn't even happened yet. A shame for the few decent Mags that have been here for years but this place is ours not theirs at the end of the day.
