I'm told new evidence has been passed to PL as per [/URL]

report just now re NUFC owners & directors test & allegations re Saudi piracy. Sources say it is critical to test & is likely to cause delay to process. More

It will be next week now then according to the journalists.

which is what they said last week and the week before and the week before.

I do get the Mags being excited at the takeover but at the same time, all of this evidence to stop the takeover going through isn’t just coincidence.

It has disaster written all over it.
I think they could very likely end up being a success on the pitch, back in the top 6 say. Is it worth effectively selling your soul to the devil though? The Saudis are not a great set of lads.

Totally depends on what they want to do.

If things keep getting leaked with an expectation of signing top players, delivering a world class academy etc and it doesn’t happen, there will be criticism like any ownership.

They dont seem the type to take criticism well so it could all spill into an absolute shitshow.

Its very very difficult to just have some success purely because you have owners who are wealthy. The net worth is ridiculous but they have massive operations and businesses far more valuable than Newcastle, it isn’t their priority.

It's hard to imagine what new evidence is there this week that wasn't there last week.
My guess is it's Qatar keep throwing legal papers in just to hamper the process and piss off the Saudi's.
Don't suppose you can blame them like, the Saudi's are planning on building a canal down their entire border to cut them off from the rest of the gulf.
I suppose in comparison drip feeding legal papers in to hamper the process is small fry.

With so many justifiable objections, they may as well scrap the Owners and Directors test when they rubber stamp this deal, as this simply proves the test is meaningless and money is the only objective for the F.A. and Premier League.
The test is simple - it looks only for criminal wrongdoing from owners/directors. It needs revising not scrapping.

There is little we can do about it. Nothing infact. We didn't ask for Ashley either.

As supporters, you have an unbreakable bond with your club. Whether the takeover goes through or not, my matchday routine will not change. Few pints, then the game, few more pints, metro home.

I have no control over who owns the club I support, as I will support them regardless.

Don't like the sound of this.
