To be fair to .com they have made virtually no comment on the takeover and have been more believe it when I see it, so for them to put that I take it they have some knowledge from somewhere.
Maybe although without quoting a source I'm going to assume they are just joining in on the unanimous verdict by the journalists.

Its a funny one. B and N who run it never speculate or gossip on stuff like this so it’s very odd they have ran it. For them to do that they must have pretty much 100% certainty but can’t see how they would get that.

Mate in the media says they’re being geared up for this being confirmed as done this week. He reckons that doesn’t happen unless it’s nailed on.

Who knows mate
Got to be honest i'm getting sick of getting up, checking the take over news and seeing the same thing. I know these things happen when they happen but fuck me it's getting tedious.

I think we need this takeover to go through mind as i think football will be changing drastically over the next few years and we don't want to miss the boat.

Meanwile.

I wonder if this may expain the delay?

Saudi Arabia unveiled plans Monday to triple its value-added tax and halt monthly allowances to citizens as part of a series of austerity measures amid record low oil prices and a coronavirus-led economic slump.

The measures, which state media said would boost state coffers by 100 billion riyals (US$26.6 billion), come as the government steps up emergency plans to slash spending to deal with the twin economic blow.

The austerity drive could stir public resentment amid an already high cost of living and intensify scrutiny of lavish multi-billion-dollar state projects and expenditure including the proposed purchase of English football club Newcastle United.

“It has been decided the cost of living allowance will be halted from June 2020 and VAT will be raised from 5% to 15% from July 1,” Finance Minister Mohammed al-Jadaan said in a statement released by the official Saudi Press Agency.

You lost 90 million in 2017 and made 18 in the last accounts, basically you need transfer fee’s and wages to go back to the year 2000 to make any immediate progress, your turnover in 2018 was 178 millon even with a 100 million cash injection that wouldn’t cover Man Utd’s wage bill in the 2018 accounts!! Which was £296 million to finish 6th 😂😂😂
I'll believe Kieran Maguire, among others, before I rely on the hot take of a Sunderland fan mind.

Probably less about that and more to do with the fact the world is going through a pandemic, there are 3 parties in the consortium looking to buy the club, one of which is linked to the Saudi regime and thus will require even greater scrutiny.

The papers are reportedly signed, and the O&D test is the penultimate stage before the exchange of funds. Only the O&D test is holding this up and for obvious reasons.

I doubt it, the premier league is the delay.
While 240 million is a lot of money, when it comes to the scale of a country it's nothing.

Besides you have spent the last month telling us they are a brutal regime, evil people that oppress their citizens, they are hardly going to be bothered about citizens complaining about austerity measures if that is the case,

You mean half a brain to anyone who hadn’t followed George Caulkin, or are you the whole brain who knew regardless?
It's very simple.

Exclusivity means you cannot enter into negotiations with another party. This only has bearing before a deal is agreed.
An exclusivity running out doesn't negate already signed contracts!
Nothing to do with Caulkin, I had presumed it was common sense to know such things!

Ahh! I see, it is a sarcastic comment you have made regarding my supposed lack of intelligence. Well done you. I think personally I would have worded your comment differently with a little more tact rather than it appearing condescending but there you go

Will you be liking that Vicky?

Wasn't specifically aimed at you. But do you understand now?

Which are?
Have they been found guilty of summit ower wherever they’re from that’d carry a custodial sentence ower here? Or been banged up ower here? They could always get a South American gadgy to front them a few bob if they’re skint.

No they haven't.
To be honest i don't think the PL could block it legally if they wanted to and i don't think they would want to anyway.
Their product is more valuable if the Saudi take over goes through.
They would cause a diplomatic incident if they blocked it.
