Charlie thought he could come up here, sup pints with supporters, throw a few nice soundbites out and then spout any old billy bullshit because the north eastern oiks wouldn’t have a clue. Unfortunately, whilst plenty of our supporters may not understand ‘business’, quite a few do, and you can’t bullshit Sunderland fans. Those who understand the mechanics of it all have kept at it like a dog with a bone and the Oxfordshire cabal have run out of ways to turn to spin this.

I wouldn’t guarantee any Saudi takeover of Newcastle, negative air time is increasing. It has been the very first report on ITV local news and included Kashoggi’s widow personally appealing to anyone in power to listen

And lied about it. The man is a bullshitter and see us a money spinner. He took £20m of the clubs money and can't afford to pay it back. He's a complete chancer just like the Venky's. It raises the question of the fit and proper test. Donald showed he could afford to buy the club. So did the owner of Bury!

I pray we get the owners we deserve and who care about the club and football in general. And I hope Donald, Methven and Sartori don't make a single penny from us.

And were is the money coming from? If SD can't afford to pay back the money he borrowed from the club, how can he afford to run the club?

The STID documentary will end up biting SD soundly on the arse.
Not only are you lot going to be aware of what a chancer he is but the rest of the footballing world of supporters are too and he is going to go from walking on water to pantomime villain. The one true thing that came out of STID was the devotion and love you have got for your club. From SOL cleaner to the fans that go week in week out and watch tepid performances.
I bet he reads this forum. His ego will dictate that. Like I've heard mentioned on here I wouldn't be surprised if he never attends a game again. I know a lot of supporters from various clubs and I have only heard of admiration for your fans.
It could have worked for him. Grigg could have banged 15 in but he didn't. You could have paid 1.5 mil for him but you didn't. Ross wasn't keen on him and SD thought he knew best. If he was honest and said today " right I've fucked up " a lot of you would even take that on the chin and respect him for that. He needs to talk. The silence is deafening.

We've just employed a chief exec who announced his job was to keep Donald happy on match day which seems to suggest he will attend.

Mind, that was before this weekend.

I believe the entire process was pretty much Short creating a deal with Donald that suited him more than any other deal, then walking into the EFL and telling them that if they didnt accept, he'd let the club go bust.

Donald has even admitted he didn't show them £50m, he said he showed them £20m, and I suspect much of that was not cash. That's still a good amount of wealth, but would you put your entire financial future into a football club?

I wouldn't. The EFL should have seen that coming a mile away but were pretty much railroaded into it. I believe it's because there were financial advantages for Short in getting some of the PP out of the club.
