That's been bugging me too. The timing is odd. It certainly could be a buyer trying to create a shitstorm around Donald to get a lower price. Frankly, if that's the case, I'm not sure I'd want them for an owner. Or it could just be the Mag elements in the press creating a deflection from the Mag deal - Khashoggi's fiancee has said today that football needs to do the morally right thing.
 

We are all desperate for a shred of good news amongst this disaster of a time. Quite probably nothing new is happening.

But, please, if anyone has seen a WhatsApp message over the shoulder of one of their international clients, do us a favour and don’t mention it on here. The last time that happened we all got carried away on the monorail and it can’t have been productive for the parties concerned.

That’s my concern as well, if it’s a potential buyer it’s a bit naughty, like I say I’m nowhere clever enough to understand all tve ins and outs, not sure why you would pick Craig Hope as your messenger either??

Matt Lawton is the chief sports writer for The Times and nothing to do with Newcastle, he was the lead writer for the article with Martin Hardy supporting. Their's appeared to have more information than the Daily Mail who I think have paraphrased their article. People are using this 'magmedia' argument that basically isn't there.

The concern is more who leaked the accounts and why. As I said, if it was a prospective owner, it doesn't say much about their integrity.

When you say, if they do come here, are you referring to a position in the boardroom/senior management or a takeover!? And what have you heard about new owners? If not FPP is it still something to get excited about/will sort us out?

I agree with that and The Times does say the preliminary accounts were sent to prospective buyers so I've no doubt it is one of them and you're right, not someone I'd want. I just don't agree with the angle that it's just mag journalists stirring things.

No, he own 20% of SAFC, if we want to piss about with technicalities and say its Madrox not SAFC that he owns then so be it but by owning 20% of Madrox means he owns 20% of SAFC as that is Madrox only asset and sole purpose of being formed, I bet if you ask him, SD or CM they will all tell you that JS owns 20% of SAFC......

I’m not sure how many times this has to be stated, Martin Hardy is a huge Newcastle Fan. He is a really nice, intelligent guy but black and white to the core. He despises Sunderland.

I basically think that the papers are short of football news and they know that stirring the shit at Sunderland, whilst the mags are click clicking away every two seconds trying to check their takeover status, means that they get us at it too......
 
Sorry, not had the time to go through an 82 page thread. Are FPP back in for us? Thought when Companies house showed they asked to close FPP that would be the end or has something else happened or is someone new in?

I know he is but Matt Lawton isn't and he's the chief sportswriter, he's not going to put his name to it, as lead writer, if it's a pile of shit.
