My original post was clearly tongue in cheek. Didn’t think I’d have to explain that, but there you go.
Well you did, I don’t use twitter and haven’t come across such idiotic tweets. I just wondered what the link with the Saudi’s was. Thanks for the clarification.

When/ if things get back to normal l'd like to see every clubs supporters refuse to take up the offer of their away allocation whenever these evil scum play at home. Don't think it would take much really. How the fuck can they complain about Ashleys treatment of people and in the same breath welcome others who make him look like Mother Theresa.
can't see that happening, people go to away matches to support their team not to make political statements.
If they want to protest the regime they will probably do what most people do, join amnesty international and join the odd demonstration

Chi Onwurah is a waste of time and I’ve criticised her in the past on here for wasting time on NUFC when her constituency has had more pressing matters.
Is anybody really surprised though by the hypocrisy of MP’s ? We see it in a daily basis all over the country.

Newcastle away is the highlight of the calendar for a lot of away fans, not just because the lust for climbing lots of stairs, Or the usual 3 points, but it’s a cracking night out

f***ing MP wasting parliament time complaining Ashley wasnt spending a fortune on players and what a disgrace zero hours contracts are yet says fuck all about this. Disgraceful woman. I genuinely hope it falls through as now the whole football support in the UK knows for sure what scum these bastsrd Mags are. If they weren't the most hated before this they certainly are now. Scum every last one of them
😂 meltdoooooon

I think away fans will use footballs dark humour like holding up placards referring to events like jamal khashoggi death.....as a means of winding up Newcastle fans, as much as making a statement. I think it will be inevitable

Personally I don't think so, I think it will be forgotten about 6 weeks after the take over should it happen.
I think the Saudi's will be out of sight and out of mind with Staveley and the Reubans as the public face.
Don't think you will see the Saudi's unless we reach a final or something and then they will be there to basque in the glory.
When the UAE bought city there was a lot said about the UAE's human rights records but you didn't see banners about it at the match.
I would suspect if there is money thrown in as it was at city and we become good most of the criticism will revolve around trying to buy the league, having plastic glory hunting fans etc.
If they don't put large amounts of money in and we are a mid table side I don't think anyone will give a shit about us and nothing will change.

If we played you i think your fans would be waving things like that but we won't be playing you anytime soon if this buy out happens.

It's up to the public to take her to task the next time they vote. Personally I can't stand her and I vote Tory anyway.
She won't be taken to task though as her constituents vote labour come what may regardless of their policies because they are so anti Tory.

Not even close to the city situation. Your owners killed and dismembered a journalist in Europe. Doesn't get worse than that.

I agree, but we both know it won’t happen. On one hand I can see why it won’t especially with supporters and that is why it should be cited higher up the food chain if that makes sense? It’s the total hypocrisy with her that I find distasteful. She is playing to the audience

I think that hits the nail on the head, all politicians are in it for themselves when push comes to shove, only hers is more blatant imho

I expect if this takeover goes through (I've got my doubts) they'll end up with a huge waiting list for tickets so all that means is that 3,000 more scum would be able to go and watch them.

The difference was that there was a modicum of strategy and thought that went into the Man City takeover. Mansour was presented as the owner, not the UAE government. This enabled them to dodge some of those difficult questions around human rights. For some reason, the Saudis have gone down a different route and opened themselves up for criticism. So much of this could have been avoided. Use a 'liberal' prince whose hands aren't dirty as the frontman and funnel money in through sponsorship. I still don't fully understand why they didn't do this.
