f***ing MP wasting parliament time complaining Ashley wasnt spending a fortune on players and what a disgrace zero hours contracts are yet says fuck all about this. Disgraceful woman. I genuinely hope it falls through as now the whole football support in the UK knows for sure what scum these bastsrd Mags are. If they weren't the most hated before this they certainly are now. Scum every last one of them

Personally I think she should be held to account, if only for her hypocritical views. She was outspoken enough to use her status to suck up to the mags but point blanket refuses to condemn the actions of the Saudi atrocities and chooses to embrace them

She represents her constituents so I'm guessing they're all happy with her views. I hope she loses her seat. On a football side this is definitely not as it appears. The Mags are in for a shock if they get took over by this lot. Dreams of top talent may not materialise. I'd laugh my cock off if it falls through

Gateshead MP Ian Mearns added: "I can see an awful lot potentially going wrong with this takeover, but it's time we got rid of an owner who views paying fans as an asset to be sweated or milked."

What does he think sportwashing is?

Steve Cockburn

A perfect name for a Mag.
Deputy head of global issues at Amnesty International.

He's had plenty so say about Qatar, but this is what we have from him so far on the Saudi takeover.

A direct quote of his "It may not be for Amnesty to say who owns a football club, and it should not be for fans to shoulder the blame, but we can try to break the spell of sportswashing if we decide to speak out."

Time for you to speak out Steve?

Some minted Saudi Prince is trying to buy Marseille apparently.

Having a quick read of the story, this was how I would have expected them to go on when buying the mags. A rich frontman who conveniently allows the Saudis to get around some difficult questions, while they provide the money through the back door.

It does make you wonder why they didn’t take this approach when trying to buy Newcastle.

Seriously, some of these mags are completely deluded. I saw one guy claiming that Ashley was just as bad as Bin Salman. After all, Ashley made his employees work without and protection during Covid19. And if Ashley had the same funds as Bin Salman, he would no doubt have lots of lives on his conscience.
Absolutely nutters.
