They are involved and he can’t just sell to anyone without their say so. Another indication it was always so much more than just a loan.

I get that, but if the 10m is repaid then we aren’t aware of any obstruction to a sale/investment.

I doubt anyone is paying that loan off on top of the valuation of the club. I reckon that loan pretty much counts anyone who’s not totally minted out of the equation.

You misread what I said mate, I said an investment of 10m and pay off the loan.
But yes I agree I can’t see anyone with money wanting to be involved with a half arsed investment which suits Donald and no one else

The positive part is than I can't see chancers wanting the club at this point. Anyone paying 30m or more in these circumstances will have a long term plan and funds to spare. I can't see how could a new owner make a quick profit now.

I really want to believe we'll be bought by the Americans, but it would be just too good to be true.

I really can't get behind this idea that FPP are in any way behind Rodwell getting appointed. He's done nothing anywhere that would attract their attention (and I still don't see why they wouldn't simply buy the club and appoint him themselves anyway). Is it that they wanted the structure in place so that they didn't need to get too hands on when they first take over and the actual appointments were up to Donald? That makes a tiny bit more sense but still seems like straw clutching, especially when it's a poster who has previously said that the loan was being paid back and they were gone who seems to have sparked the discussion

This, can’t believe such a failure was ever on their radar. If someone like O’Brien wa appointed to the Board I would be more inclinedto believe there is something afoot.
Unfortunately I think we are all just so desperate for some good news that any little snippet is being taken out of context at the moment.

I don’t want to get involved in arguments but fair play to Riv, he set out what he heard and months later he’s yet to be proven wrong. I honestly don’t understand why people get so angry at the bloke.

They were pictured in the stands at one of our games.
They have invested a £10m loan to Donald.

It didn’t require anyone to be ITK to fathom this, it was already in the public domain.

What nobody knows are the intentions (if there are any) of FPP and their future role.

Anything written on these boards are sheer guesswork as nothing’s come off in regards to what’s been said.

Any idea why are they so keen but they haven't bought the club yet? Could it be that they haven't matched Donald's evaluation but they want to have the first option with this loan?
