That's what I thought you meant. Depends on the motive. The Man City owners bought it to advertise the UAE, are these potential Saudi's doing it for the same reason? If not, all of the assumptions underlying the valuation have no changed and the value has fallen. Unless you are close to the deal, then no-one knows.

Most premier league teams run at a loss and with a fall in match day revenue and TV money, some will need to sell to survive and cut wages bills. It will be a buyers market. Under normal circumstances teams with new money get taken to the cleaners (see Man City) but this is a different environment. Even more so, due to Ashley's years of austerity, they have huge head room for FFP and can spend big (unfortunately). Let's just hope they start haggling and get cold feet.

Top teams with the better players will be propped up by wealthy owners, if you think for one second there is going to be a fire sale your in dream land. You might get temmu pukki for cheap, but players you’ll need to get to the promised land of the top four, will be equally as expensive.
 
Once the decision to play next season without fans is confirmed, I can see the Saudis trying for a further price reduction. 50,000 x 20 games @ £30 a pop is a drop of £30m, add in corporate income, merchandise and match day income, and the lack of (new) stadium advertising which would have begun, and Its maybe £40m+ drop in next seasons income. They'll definitely want to renegotiate down, and if that doesn't suit MA then I can see this breaking down, with Ashley holding the deposit as security, and the Saudis being quite happy to walk away if talks go tits up.
Lots to go wrong yet.

80k season tickets have already been sold, thowsands (sic) on the waiting list.
 
How pathetic that these Mags cannot just accept that Kevin Phillips is the ONLY English player to have won the European Golden Boot.. That my black and white friends is FACT. No amount of trawling through the internet and massaging statistics to suit your agenda is going to change it. Whatever next? Wylam brewery oh dear (laugh if it doesn't come off). If I remember rightly they brought out a 5-1 ale when they beat us, I worked in a lot of pubs around tyneside at the time.

Jakehead is my favourite, guessing by the alcohol content I think it might be Jakehead re-branded. I home not, don't want to walk into a bar and ask for a pint of sheikhead, i would feel a right pleb.

"you'll need"....pardon me but I am no mag! They won't be fishing in that "top four" pond to begin with (remember Man City), but they will get a lot for their money in the next tier down.

Actually "only" £24m in 2017-18, as mags have not released 2018-19 accounts. But they are also sitting on £34m cash.
