wouldn't have thought so although I cant speak for Sima, i have never been an advocate of capital punishment not even for Sunderland fans, i don't think it's a good idea.
I also don't think Sharia Law is a good idea.
That said give me ten minutes and i'll have forgotten the article you just brought to my intention due to my excitement of the pending take over.
You aren't unique you're just another football club.Yes, the one club one city thing is certainly a big part of it. It surprises it does not play a bigger part on the passion for Leeds but rugby and cricket divide loyalties down there.
Newcastle is unique as a regional capital with no other club within its boundaries and no other sport that matters.
Ok, but I still stand by my point of view. But it didn’t say with the ball at their feet did it, it said ‘finest English footballers’
We are a broad church and can count on local support way beyond Tyneside, south to Durham, West to Cumbria and certainly up to the Scottish Borders.Regional capital have you just made that up!! What a berk. Listen to your self man regions don’t have capitals man, that’s probably the most Newcastle thing I’ve heard ever!! Just like when you claim places and attractions in Gateshead Whitley bay and Northumberland for your own!
As can SunderlandOk, but I still stand by my point of view.

The regional behemoth at the centre of all that is Newcastle.
On a smaller scale certainly north of the Tyne up to the borders, but yes.As can Sunderland![]()

I wish they’d f***ing just accept this.You aren't unique you're just another football club.
Barcelona of the North. Mes que un clerb iirc.More than a club marra, apparently.
Ya divvent undar starnd manI wish they’d f***ing just accept this.
I have always considered myself very fortunate to have been brought up as a Newcastle fan. There is no ambiguity no sharing the city with other teams.I wish they’d f***ing just accept this.

We are a unique city with a strong attachment to its football team. Not least because the Gallowgate is a few hundred yards from in the city centre.
Where else can you stand in a city centre and from any vantage point see the stadium? Where else does a buzz run through the whole city on match day?
I have followed football in this country closely for 40 years, no other club has that formula. It makes it unique what is so difficult to accept.
Right I’m trying to reason with you here, if for argument sake John hall bought Sunderland back in the 90’s? And we had replicated exactly the same as Newcastle do you think Sunderland would have attracted any less fans than Newcastle , reason being im 40 ish from a middle town not Sunderland not Newcastle and the amount of people that changed allegiance in that time was quite large, people started going to games that would not usually, as the team become more successful, nobody want to watch a shite team believe me. It’s the same as Man City shirts or Chelsea shirts, that you see now, you where a media darling at the time, places like Durham Bishop Auckland even seaham Sunderland stronghold becoming 50/50 if not worse, the Point being let’s say the Saudi geezer bought Sunderland tomorrow and just pumped it full of cash for the next 20 years became massively successful, Newcastle treaded water under Ashley, do you think the effect would be any different?? I don’t. Same fans different shirt the people are the same.On a smaller scale certainly north of the Tyne up to the borders, but yes.
You sound insecure. You need smoke blown up your arse regularly. You aren’t unique. As a city, it is the same as all large cities in Britain. Same as Leeds, same as Manchester, same as Glasgow, same as Bristol. Same architecture. Same nightlife. Same shopping. Same absolute shitholes that all big cities have. As a club you aren’t unique. Not in the sense you think you are anyway. You’ve won fuck all. I repeat, fuck all. You’re just another one of England’s big-ish clubs. Nowt more. Not. Unique.I have always considered myself very fortunate to have been brought up as a Newcastle fan. There is no ambiguity no sharing the city with other teams.
