It's even more telling that Michael Dell and his investment team wanted to buy SAFC.
I didn't keep up on the Sunderland take over stuff when it was going on.
Did Michael Dell want to buy Sunderland? I don't remember reading it and while like i say I wasn't following so may well have missed it, i would have expected i would have read that someplace due to his high profile.

I wasn't deeing that like. 🤔

Do you get church bells ringing every bloody hour of the day in Malta? Yer dee here like. Got musical tunes that gan on for about 5 minutes every hour. I live right next to a church too :-(
Just fireworks at minute .
Church bells last night.
I'm off to get pissed today 😂

Love going to the match and have had some amazing times with amazing mates.
Especially the recent derbies and Wembley weekends.
Been all over the world with England, just doesn't compare.
Couldn't give a fuck what you scruffy ***** have been up to if I'm honest, its irrelevant to me.
Us scruffy? You lot are the ones who's pitch and stadium resembles a local landfill

You are on this place 24/7.

Clearly a lads fan on a wind up.
Well played sir.👏👏👏
Wind up? It is though. It's visible every time on telly as well as numerous threads on it. Litter blowing all over the pitch and stands. I've never seen that as Newcastle yet we are scruffy? Mackem logic

Newcastle have a bigger catchment area and as expected have nearly always averaged more fans than us despite us having a great following. Newcastle had ambition and momentum in the crucial early sky years and although they've had their difficulties, they've still been ran much better than Sunderland in the last 25-30 years, at times realising their potential, enjoying champions league football and nearly always being in the top flight. Sunderland have barely even threatened to reach their potential in this time. As a consequence the gap has grown in that time in terms of fanbase and profile.

What is astonishing is the extent that you think this has happened and shows just how deluded and thick you are. Being arrogant and delusional is something that Newcastle fans are well known for outside the north east. As for the comparison you made...

Imagine dortmund losing 6 times a row to fortuna. Imagine dortmund failing to win the lions share of the head to head matches in the entire history of the game against fortuna. They are head and shoulders, far bigger than fortuna. An absolutely crazy comparison
You took the bait but made a very well reasoned first paragraph.

The six losses, I get, but that 13 year period in Newcastle’s history will have an asterisk next to it as in the war years. Hence, the reason I called it the Vichy period.
You're seriously comparing Newcastle to some of the great cities of the world.
The cradle of the Industrial revolution the base for Armstrong, Swan and Parsons. Grainger’s architecture. Earl Grey posthumously peering over the city.

Yes, it is a great city with huge historical and cultural relevance.

It might have been bait but I wouldn't put a statement like that past a Newcastle fan, such as the level of their delusion that some of them have.
The fact you refer to the ashley period as that shows an absolute self entitlement and lack of perspective and awareness as to whats going on elsewhere in the country where there are owners that make Ashley look like a good owner.

I am afraid you are living in the past. It was sickening to be travelling in South East Asian in the lat 1990's but now you don't even register in any corner of the globe from anyone below their 40's.

If Mike Ashley pulls this off, he is a genius. Selling a club at the price he wants with no match day revenue for months and perhaps never to return to how it was. It is evident what will happen - you will sign a series of mercenaries for top dollar and massive wages, just like Man City did in the early part. The thing that City had going for them was the ability to live in Cheshire, 20/30 mins from a large international airport, with your international team mates very close by. Your real fans will stay as normal blokes but the Post Keegan Revolutionaries, who never goto the game in any case, but watch in the WMC's and spout shite and cliches online, Talksport and the like will be even more unbearable. You will become even more hated than you already are by all other teams. I do a lot of work, with Saudi's, and I am well aware of the situation there. Strategy 2030 needs oil to be way higher than it currently is. The potential IPO of Aramco, which was to bankroll it, is now looking unlikely. It will be interesting to watch it develop of nothing else.....
I would like to think rather than mercenaries the club can tap into the huge potential of youth talent that gets wasted on its doorstep.

Growing up in the 80’s there was kids lost to the game at junior level who didn’t get the right opportunity, had a bad attitude etc.

Some of them we woukf never hear of but at junior level they could have gone on to become a Gascogne, Waddle or Beardsley.

That latent talent still exists in the streets and fields of the “hotbed”. I’m looking for a La Masia approach. I have an email ready to go on this very subject that I intend to get through to Amanda Staveley via some associates in London.

Would that be the Beardsley and Gazza who both fucked off to big clubs at the first chance?

The very same. We weren't a big club back then but we are now and will be a monster of a club again when big mike finally leaves
Henderson as a captain has won more in the last 12 months than Gazza did in his career.

True but I know in 30 years time which one will be regarded as the more talented player and by some distance as well
