and getting relegated out of the pub league at home to Burton Albion without a whimper

Ironically, relegated out of the pub league by the “Brewers”.

That counts as a very amusing day. A lot of their fan base were incapable of solving the mathematical algorithm which had determined relegation had happened.

The prince is going to make us the Barcelona of the north iirc. Will be plenty of mackems having flashbacks to the 90s when the prince wipes out sunlun areas and makes the black and white the shirt of choice from Berwick to york. ( not that it isn't already like)

Sure, that was the potential I referred to but I was just citing an example of relative difference now.

The Ruhr is a traditional heavy industry mining region like North East England and to an international observer Dortmund to Fortuna would be comparable to Newcastle Sunderland.

Maybe Bilbao to Osasuna is more fitting in modern football terms.
