When the premier league talk of conflict of interest they are talking about financial ties.
Lets face it Abramovich for example could equally make exactly the same threat to any other premier team owner.
The company that is PIF have no financial links to the owner that is Sheffield United neither will any board member.

Jamie Reuben who is reportedly going to be on the NUFC board would have to step down from the QPR board as that is a conflict of interest.
It is the assumption that all board members are acting in the interest of their club not doing favours for relatives or friends.

Strange they include articles stating they're thinking about bidding for a football club which then doesn't prove successful.
You'd think regimes such as those wouldn't want to be involved in rumour and failure.

Very very true.
We also do not pitch invade to get games called off because we're losing, riot in our own city because we lose a game of football to a club we purport not to care about and punch horses on the snout in a humiliating act of equine aggression.
We don't do these things because the supporters of Sunderland AFC have integrity, humility and humour-things that the black and white bastards have never had.
