New CEO appointed..

I think Donald has left the running of the club to someone who has proved to be an utter failure at his previous clubs. It would also appear that Donald has no intention of leaving or can't find a mug who will pay the price he is asking. The only way he can go to a game without aggravation is to be successful, putting cannon fodder in front isn't going to stop that. Donald is a bullshitter, conning fans into thinking he cares and try and swing some support his way. He told us in January, he is fully committed to selling, has had a queue of interested parties and here he is appointing a CEO to take the flak for him. We were told that Juan was going to be more visible, admittedly not by him, but what happened there? He's a lying twat and you can't believe anything that he spouts. I admit to falling for his bullshit in the early days like.
Could point about Juan, I often think why the hell he is involved with this current regime, Its so odd and disjointed just like the full club I suppose.

It appears that SD may have been looking closely at the strategy adopted by Mike Ashley at the Mags...... similar distancing of himself from the day to day, deflect onto someone who is the administrator who has no long term connection with the club or loyalty to the fans.

At a time when money is an issue, it is a bit of a strange one, unless SD has another business opportunity that he needs to focus on and SAFC is a needless distraction. Clearly CM and TD were both hands on. TD was connected to CM from his days at Spurs and to the fans / club. With both away from the day to day we have effectively been rudderless.

SD knows that he can’t do this alone and that he doesn’t have the discipline to actually run the club (he is a risk taker and speculator) so having a new CEO is logical..... On a number of fronts, including deflection of the focus of the fans.

The thing is, SD appears to choose people who he likes to be around, not people who have been successful in the game.... Each decision that he makes, unfortunately appears to be taking us backwards and grounding us as a lower league club.

I’m not anti SD, I think that he wants the club to be successful but I don’t think that his strategy has worked and I think that this poor guy is destined to fail also.

don't be stupid, he is involved in killing a journo and 12 murders, well hell I can you see her talking about beheadings over the tomato soup.
You're as thick as a whale omelette. Absolute melt. Like I said deluded.

Bob knaas fuck all.

Given the foreseeable economic climate no one is going to be interested in buying SAFC. Donald is stuck with the Club and us with him. No doubt he is going to do what he has always done in football and just have his rather mediocre football team tick-over in the lower leagues where survival itself counts as sucess.

With the size of crowd that we get even if attendances do fall off (which I think is likely) we are a bit better placed than others so it makes sense for him to get a CEO in to deal with what will be the increasingly mundane matters. Its not going to require the sort of top level hands on decision making that probably appealed to Donald when he bought the Club and thought he would have us flying up the League. He's been here before with his other Clubs and he knows what it takes.

As all things with these two I shall believe in a change of ownership when I actually see it in the meanwhile I think that we are in for a very long haul.

He’s still licking his wounds from being proven as a shite hawk yesterday.
I don’t think Bob was trying to be itk

I think it was more a personal opinion based on a tiny bit of possible itk rumours within the football world.

judge him on this takeover/investment as that’s cold hard facts who the club are talking to regardless if it falls on its face or not.

He stated as fact that GA didn’t have any senior players on his books.
He was quickly proven wrong.

Why this need to defend him??

I’m All for people being pulled up for things when they are wrong. Its the way him and a couple of others are pounced on and bullied to a certain degree that doesn’t sit well with me.

he’s a bloke who’s followed Sunderland home and away to this day longer than I’ve been alive,he happens to get genuine info(at his time of typing) and passed it on in good faith.

he contributes to the board massively and the venom is OTT.

And yesterday he spouted a load of bollocks as fact, and bad mouthed someone in the process.

Reap what you sew.

It’s all getting out of hand don’t you think?

Yes he’s adapted a more defensive approach of late which I’m not surprised at.What I am surprised at is how thick skinned he is.99% of posters would have left the board and when that day does come it’ll be a lot poorer for it.

anyway,I hope it’s the names I’ve heard who are potentially going to be involved with us as this Campbell fella doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Thick or thick skinned? He’s a liar, simple as.
