What’s your working from home set-up like?

Just found out that my company is not renewing the lease on the office from the end of June so I will be working from home from now on.

I only brought my laptop home so I may have to go into the office and get some more equipment so I can set up a proper home office.

i’m sure many more will follow that route

My wife (no) is just about to publish her second book. Writing is a big part of her life so we converted the garage into a study and utility. The study Is lovely and quiet overlooking the village green. I tend to pinch it off her when there is work to be done. The springer is a constant companion in there even if he does fart a lot!

I've taken over the old computer desk in the boiler room, added a docking station for the works laptop and an ancient crap second screen. Still can't figure out why I can't get sound in Skype or Teams calls so have to pull the laptop out of the dock when calls come through it. It's a mess and the view of the increasingly overgrown back garden is a right treat. I'd rather be back at base with my usual set up and chair like most of the team are but I'm not allowed in.

I like this working from home that I cannot do, it's quite therapeutic getting paid to browse the internet, listen to and make music music in between chucking a few arrows, taking the dogs for a walk and watching a bit of television. (Not the news though)

I'd be absolutely over the knot with that development like mate.

Stationery cupboard is the one to rifle through first.

3 monitors for work, 1 monitor for my 'downloads' and server, television and sky box, interactive whiteboard and projector, alexa show for music etc.

Laptop for me set up on a small desk remote desktop to my work PC. I'm struggling with the single screen as I have all sorts open at once, SQL server, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, Beyond Compare....

So since this was taken, I've changed a couple of things. Pc was under the desk, it is now to the side giving me more legroom and meant I can cable manager better, nothing is now visible. Wifi has changed to powerline, the mouse/keyboard have changed to wireless and I've swapped to a 2.1 speaker system. Oh yea and beer is gone.

Specs are, 3x Dell ultrasharp 27" 1440p monitors on a monitor arm. Logitech Z333 speakers. Pc is a Ryzen 9 3900x on an x570 asus motherboard with a RTX2070 super and 32gb ram. Various hard drives and SSDs too.
To be fair I had most of this setup before starting to work from home, paid for, and used for matched betting.
