If we get taken over I would like to see us operate comfortably within the fair play rules.
what I'm hoping they do is bring in a really good sporting director, someone that actually knows his shit not just a famous ex player.
then i would like him to pick a good manager that will help build the team and play to the same ethos so a change of manager does not translate to a change of style.
Good investment in the academy, training ground and infrastructure and enough on field investment so that each season isn't a relegation battle.
Before I get slaughtered I'm saying this is what I would like not what i am saying we will get.

As far as the FFP rules go I hope we stick to them, they are easy enough to get round so it remains to be seen if they do.

Cool story bro

To be fair they did put it down in emails that got leaked.

If you have the money you can just do it the way PSG done the Neymar deal.
Not that i am saying I want them to or that I think they will just that if you have the money and you want to flaunt FFP you can.

I think it will be especially hard now, for any club to be financed by an owner. Nobody at that top table will want to be knocked off, UEFA are quite happy to keep the status quo. Slow and steady would be the way to go in imho, not ruffle any feathers early on, how long will the owners/fans be willing to wait🤷‍♂️ Rules constantly changing to favour the top clubs, good recruitment is key but only so many top players and so many top clubs. The players you need to get top half aren’t the players to get top 4, and given you’ll have over paid on wages and fee’s to get them, they won’t want to leave.

When this takeover goes through for the first couple of seasons they’ll be signing players in the mould of Sigurdsson £50m, Fred £55m etc. No world class players will want to go there.

They’ve got to get around FFP which is far stricter than it was when Man City became rich. I can’t see the Saudi fella giving managers much time, he’ll want instant results regardless of what he says. People who order beheadings are usually impatient.

This

End of the day all the so called top players are going to have more than Newcastle wanting them, so why would any choose Newcastle? They wouldn't as they want to play in the champions League and live in the fashionable cities.

If the Saudis are itching to spend/invest tens of millions in the club but find FFP constricting, ot may be no bad thing - the academy, training facilities, marketing, stadium and surrounding neighbourhood could benefit from their largesse.

If we were savvy we would hoover up the best of the local young players if the mags are spunking dinars on overpriced mercenaries.

The stadium can’t be extended.

A new satdium could be built and/or the present one renovated substantially. I'm sure the Reubens have a plan or two afoot.

I wouldn't be shocked if a new stadium was in the plans, I get a feeling with the Reubens involved there will be some sort of large scale building project going on.
Buy the stadium off the council, then build a new stadium/training camp, knock the old ground down, build offices, hotel, bars and restaurants.
I have absolutely nothing to base this on other than a feeling.

Can you imagine if they aren’t doing well and the manager is asked to go in for a meeting . He’d be f***ing shitting himself .
They’d find it difficult choppping Steve Bruce up like .

Life under the Saudis will be like life under coronavirus
No pubs clubs cinema etc etc
Jeddahmond upon tyne
The geordies will need to respect the feelings and beliefs of their new owners if they are to take the moral high ground
Anything else would be hypocritical

amd they'll still sing about us all being paedophiles, despite Saudi only outlawing grown men marrying little girls (though there can be exceptions) last year.
