Same here. I'm assuming this potential takeover would benefit us if it raises the profile of North East football.

I don't get this reasoning. It might better Newcastle as a region but it's not like people are going to be dying to invest in Gateshead and Shields because of it?

A tricky "What would you prefer?" question here...

1) Mags takeover falls through and we stay in League 1

1) Mags takeover goes through - they dominate English football and win shit load of cups...BUT... this rejuivinates North East football meaning we also get taken over and return to the Premier league as a result.

What would people prefer?

Second one
I post on this thread, aye, so do hundreds of others.

You seem to have this weird fascination with the takeover going through and post regular updates as soon as they appear on another outlet, passing them off as if you know something.

Not sure if your trying to be ‘ITK’ or not, but whatever it is, is a bit weird.

I think youre confusing me with someone else

Do we still get to beat them every time we play?

Of course! Any amount of money in the world can't beat a hoodoo

Money follows money. It might also alter player perceptions of the North East in general if they see big name players coming to the area

Newcastle and Middlesbrough have had big name players, doesn't seem to have changed perceptions.

I'm really not.

You questioned someone as to how they knew an update as you couldn't see anything yourself, here :- March and April 2020 - NEWCASTLE ufc

Then the following day posted on the thread saying it was done as it was confirmed by someone on this board (using a source you questioned a day earlier) here :- March and April 2020 - NEWCASTLE ufc

You then posted advising Mags would be going on ignore tomorrow, as if to inidcate it was done on Monday, here :- March and April 2020 - NEWCASTLE ufc

You then posted yesterday saying it would be done today here :- March and April 2020 - NEWCASTLE ufc

.. and within minutes of it being on Twitter / in the press, you posted today saying it must be a done deal because there is a new director, registered on companies house, here :- March and April 2020 - NEWCASTLE ufc

Worse than actually being a mag

Ashley has took the piss somewhat....You might think he is bad and has messed up Newcastle, but seriously the shit Sunderland fans has had go through Is incomparable!

To contrast it the mags have spent £40m on Joelinton

Will Grigg was our equivalent signing at £4m

we are two divisions below you after having managers David Moyles, Simon Grayson, Chris Coleman

Most of our signings have been practically free since the PL days.

We have been through the mill with our club chairmen / owners.
Nail hit firmly on the head

These awabs had better get their skates on, the drawbridge is closing..
Part of me laughing my tits off at the prospect, part of me wondering if it's unfair on everybody, similar to the concept of shops price fixing

Totally agree with you. But when both clubs were in the PL Short was the biggest investor. There aren’t many clubs where the fans are happy with their owners - look at Man U and Arsenal.
