New CEO appointed..

Sunderland fans: Do you remember Boston being in League Two? And then finding themselves in the Northern Premier League after nearly going bust? Yeah, Jim Rodwell was largely responsible. All the best!

Sounds promising....

all this f***ing bullshit, give him a chance bollocks. Those will be the posters pissing themselves if it was Newcastle, these goons are making us the laughing stock and I'm not sure when the "give them a chance" comments will ever cease. It would cease if we actually chose competent, experienced people in respective roles.
We need rid of these small time fuckers or you get what you wish for

He failed at Boston and Scunthorpe and some think he has a chance of doing well here?!

Really starting to fear for our future now like. This is an awful appointment. You only have to read the comments from opposing teams, not just Scunthorpe, but the other teams fans comments on players that have (dis)graced our team. The lad from Bury upfront(cant even remember his name) Maguire to an extent. Steele, Camp.
Other teams fans actually thanking us for taking deadwood off their hands, now we have the same thing wqith the CEO.
I hate to judge books by their covers but this fella even looks like a flashy chancer.

ive said it earlier in this thread. I've met him, spoke to him, he's an arrogant wannabe! His Forest supporting mates must be pissing themselves. Disgraceful appointment.

This on the whole looks like a dreadful appointment, we’ve managed to take someone on who has failed at all his previous clubs , how can that inspire confidence within our fan base.
As another poster said “we may have not bottomed out yet” , that in itself is extremely worrying. Donald is being shown up to be utterly clueless in every aspect of running SAFC and shows no signs of wanting to leave or sell the club , despite paying very little for the club he seems to think he deserves a massive profit for taking the club to its lowest ebb .
If he and his two mates had actually achieved something ie promotion no one would have an issue with their selling price , however nobody can deny we aren’t going backwards and look to be rooted in the third division for the foreseeable future .
Wonder if Short fancies having another crack? Flowers for his wife anyone?
Strop, bed wetting, pants pissers etc etc these terms have been used by some to have a pop others who have called the club’s trajectory fairly accurately over a period of time.

There’s a bigger picture than just this Rodwell fella. We’ve been told the club finances are in a great shape, then seen all staff furloughed and whilst those staff are furloughed we’ve appointed a new executive to run the club who has a track record of failure at smaller clubs with lower expectations at lower levels and who also has a reputation for cost cutting.

All this is happening whilst we are told the club‘s sale would be concluded by the end of May. I can’t get my head round anyone not being skeptical at least. Surely everyone at this stage would be?
A reputation for cost cutting whilst almost sending clubs under - thats some major league CEO skills there.

Don't know if already mentioned on the thread..... Was this appointment based on a selection and interview of candidates process or someone offered the role because he knows Stewart or Charlie.....
His CV set him apart. References were exemplary. Donald owed him a pint.

As a neutral I don't know WTF is going on at your club. Boston and Scunthorpe are a million miles apart from the size and passion of SAFC. It all just seems like a rudderless ship. You need sold sharpish with this clown in charge.
Looking at this appointment I really think he has been brought in so that Donald can spend less time in the NE before the sale goes through. The club must have been taking up more of his time after Methven packed in and he wanted to grab back that time in order to work out where he is going to invest his cash after Sunderland.

Once we are under new ownership things will hopefully start to change for the better.

I'm really hoping that you get sold to the right people.
Donald's probably fed up now as he's not being followed about by the cameras
Fair enough he came in when things were very toxic with Short but he's running you like a glorified Sunday team. Like I've said before on here as a Wolves fan we feel for your plight right now because you are a great team with fans who deserve much better. You're not a Bournmouth or a Brighton who got lucky ( most probably because of their location ) I just want to see you back in the big time beating the arrogant Geordies.

Rodwell was the best example. Everton fans seemed to have him sussed.

Seems a bit strange to mention it then say can’t talk about it, but it certainly fits the current narrative.
Hopefully it’s encouraging.
he cant say any more at the moment due to legal arrangements and ongoing negotiations, with another club. I don't know which one sorry just its ongoing.

Sorry if I’m being a bit thick here, it’s been a long day, is the potential new investor/owner negotiating with another club? Or are they already at another club? Apologies if I’m being stupid
