This is a rumoured £300 million takeover deal. The seller is a billionaire. The buyers are multi billionaires. Northumberland Street activity, or the lobbying of an MP will not even register with them. Completely irrelevant.

The Holocaust didn't effect any of us directly either. How many people living in were effected by it? One of the big black spots on English football was the English players giving a Nazi salute before a friendly in Germany. According to you that was nothing because what Germany were doing didn't directly effect anyone in England!

I'm sure the people of the middle east would be quite offended by being called backward and medieval, but that aside as a person involved in business i can tell you that there are laws in the UK which would prevent me from keeping such people away from my business.
I would also point out I have not defended anything or anyone, all i have said is i will still support my team if the buy out goes through and if there is investment in the club and area that will also make me happy.

Speak out and say you against this takeover.
Refuse to give the club a penny of your money.

There's 3 things you can do.

I'm sure some people will do those things but most won't.
Most will be excited about change at the club and the chance to see the club do well...would be the same at any club.

Most people didn't do those things you said with Ashley despite most people wanting him gone.
Football fans will put up with most things away from football if somebody is doing well for their team or club.

You came on here with the opinion Sunderland fans were hypocrites for not being interested in the Saudi regime prior to being linked with NUFC. Many of us follow currect affairs and are aware of what is happening elsewhere in the world, form an opinion without protesting. I quite like your Mad 'I go to gigs me' Cyril persona on the other forum. Be interesting to see how the situation develops when the cash starts pouring in.

I no longer attend games, I have said that I’m not happy about Saudi involvement and spend very little on merchandise.
You clearly feel very strongly so what’s your personal strategy on this ??

I don't like it when politics and sport mix. We've seen Franco use Real Madrid as a vehicle to promote Fascism and curry flavor Spain's imagine.

The Saudis are now doing the same. Because they are our "friends" people will think it's alright. If these were Russians it would be a different story.

Maybe people like Anthony Joshua should stand up and say he wouldn't fight in Saudi Arabia because of their terrible human rights record.
