come on lads can the bed wetter's stop, he is a proper bloke and hard as they come, you watch who gets fucked off then you will see its a good appointment.

Notts County and Scunthorpe were in a lower division when he left than when he joined. That doesn't scream out to me that he's going to sort things out and improve us tbh, much though I obviously hope he does.

Bob man, stop your "allegiance" clouding your judgement. Like every other appointment SD has made, his CV does not warrant a role at this club. It doesn't look like he has been a good appointment at any club and just because he can shout a lot means fuck all. You need to be able to handle people differently not piss them off cos you can
I have met Jim on a few occasions and he knows what's wrong with the way we have been ran for the last 10 years,it has been a piss take and a payday for lots. it will stop now just give him 3 weeks and you will see.

I have no choice in it marra, but its obvious he couldn't put the wrongs of Boston, Notts County or Scunny right, unless he couldn't see them

CEO with sound knowledge of how a lower league club should be run, what it can afford, and how much players should receive.

He will also quickly realise the revenue potential of a club the size of SAFC languishing in a shit league. Best of luck to him.

He should get in here and smash it.

Not sure what happened at Scunthorpe. They'd been in the playoff in each of the two seasons before they were relegated. Can't remember if they lost a few key players and weren't able to replace them or not.

Again though, his record suggests he doesn't get things right, his last two clubs have been relegated under his watch. Notts County had major financial trouble when he went. Boston United were getting criticised because he chose to put them into administration 2 minutes before a season ended to avoid the points deduction applying the next season (suppose at least that means he'll try and exploit any loophole if it'll help us, its maybe not a negative as such). We all hope he'll do well. If he starts making changes and the club starts improving he'll get no end of praise from all concerned. You can't really blame people for looking at his CV to date, the fact he's pally the owners and having an initial reaction of scepticism though can you?

From the Scunthorpe article on him leaving

"I employed Jim to take us to the Championship and get us ready for our journey into the new stadium, to build a backroom staff that could support this move and hopefully establish ourselves in the second tier"

They're in league two
Looks like he did a good job then!
