You have no idea of the reasoning behind it.

The Arabs are buying the mags, it’s almost a done deal and far further down the road than any deal we potentially had with the yanks it seems.

Reiver was clearly full of shit (youve brought him up by the way) he claimed a deal was done and that the EFL had all the paperwork. The bloke to his credit seems to have shuffled away from this forum in embarrassment now his ITK nonsense ha been exposed. I’m not sure what your point is in bringing him up.

Any takeover at the minute would be welcome as we seem to be in quicksand.
Unfortunately we just don’t look an attractive proposition at present mate.

£40m sounds like nowt but its a more than per cet increase in ourchase price,..if they bought a business ad thought ti would go up in vakue by 10 per cent a year on averag for ten years..an extra £40m is sacrificing year one of the potential returns..

We’ve got an investment/loan deal with FPP which will become a takeover if MADROX default. It could be a takeover if we get promoted or more investment as SD said last week. I’m happy with where we are at but I’d rather FPP were in charge now, but it looks like they want us at their price. It’s about time we had business people involved with us that know the value of assets.

BTW Reiver is banned he hasn’t shuffled away and he is available on other forums.
 
There will be a lot of people who will argue it's them and not us and lots will pretend to not care what goes on at Newcastle but let me mention this; the next 10 years could be dark shitty times for Sunderland fans and the minute this is official the best thing Donald can do is to sell us up to the first serious interested buyer. Resent for our owner is gonna grow at a rapid speed the minute they are the richest owned club in the world and we are 7th in league one waiting for Watmore to come on in the 78th minute to try and salvage a point at home to Blackpool.

Already been posted on here. The same bloke who as a Man Utd fan previously wrote an article when they were linked to buying Man Utd saying how great it would be and how finally they'd be free of the Glazers. The blokes a full fledged hypocrite. He also works for the independent which is funded by the Saudi's and wrote about how great Joshua fighting there was. Blokes a totally biased waste of space. As a reporter he ought to have some form of integrity.

The person who really wants the mags is Staveley. That's the difference. Obviously the Arabs are interested in the Mags, but if they really wanted to, they'd buy the club outright. Staveley has sold the club to them.

I still think there's strings attached to the Mags deal. If they were going to start pouring money in at City levels, they don't have any need to give Staveley and the Reubens a wedge. But that's what we needed to get a deal done with FPP. Someone who can act as a go-between for the current owners and the money men.
